It's supposed to be nice like this all day I'll definitely take a walk later after my time to pretend to be working is over

i'm hardly even pretending anymore. i woke up today at like 8:30 and still only one other person was on. so far it's been the on call weeks or once every few days when i'll legitimately have to do stuff.

I have to pretend because we're still expected to meet productivity. Though they finally changed it to a way that makes sense (it was 52% of PAID time before so we basically had to make up any PTO. It's now 59% of worked time so I can take a day off and call it a mental health day if I'm really not feeling it one day and won't have to worry about making it up). I actually did that this week. Took Tuesday off and it seemed to help a lot. I wonder if I could just take a random day off like that every week or if they'd say something. I have the sick time.

ah. we don't have that issue because it's not based on the amount of tickets we have. i did some work earlier this week when i had to create a script to do something that people complained about doing manually. i don't know the scripting language they required so it took me a day or two to figure out what i needed to do and whip something up that was able to do what we wanted.

It was 93 here yesterday idk what the humidity was but it was evil. It was worse than FL. I despise midwest weather.

So what you're saying is there's absolutely no reason why you can't make the quick drive over here to take in this superior weather and hang out at the cool bar with me, ok, I see you

Uh..... when you moved to NC, did you just go there with no job and when you got there, you were like "ok let's see what kind of job opportunities they have out here," or did you get in contact with someone online and you negotiated a salary before you moved out there?

He does have property and a mortgage now so I imagine it'd be harder to move than before

That's a good point, but that's not the point he made that I was arguing. 😝
