As for why pineapple and no other fruit, I don't know. All I know is when I was little my dad had me try a slice of Hawaiian pizza and I loved it. The irony here is my dad doesn't like Hawaiian pizza. The double irony is that my dad was born in Hawaii and lived there until he was 14. But apparently Hawaiian pizza was invented by a Greek dude, so I guess that doesn't really matter.

It goes nicely with good ham or bacon. 1

Also I went to a pizza place a couple of months ago and they did actually have a pizza with mandarin oranges on it.

PhilosipherStoned Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 That pizza combination is both visually and gustatorily stimulating, and before anyone says anything I did just learn that word...I can barely taste the pineapple on a pineapple pizza anyway so the topping provides a nice minutely sweet "pallete cleanzer" that sets off the other toppings imo.
