A few weeks ago, lol. Just went there last night around closing to pick up my certificates and shit. I still like Starbucks, but fuck working there.

Indefinite ubering and no health insurance for the meantime. Yay.

I had someone do that at my job a few months ago. I was like, "See you tomorrow!" as she was leaving, and she goes, "Yeah, probably not..." I just kind of gave a sympathetic laugh, thinking she just had a rough day, but I never saw her again.

But hey, you know...you gotta do what's best for you! If that job wasn't making you happy, then sounds like you did what you had to do.

There have been plenty of workers who have walked out ever since we got a new district manager who was so out of touch. I had to pick up so much of the slack, being the assistant manager. One day, my gut instincts told me to just leave, and I tried my hardest to fight the urge, but I just gave in. Never walked out of a job before, but I gotta say . . . it felt really fucking good.

Not really. Like I said, I'm ubering, and I make enough from it to get by, for now.

oh i misread that part as part of the reason why you left your job. like you had to uber back and forth and it was too expensive to justify it or something. either way, hope you find something. can ubering be put down on a resume to fill in the gap? i would assume it could.

I don't think most places will care about a small gap. I already got a few job offers, so I know I'll find something. Just gotta be patient for something with the right pay.

I have management experience, you know.

I'm kinda hoping to get something outside of food service, but we'll see.

Walking out of a bad job is one of the best feelings in my memory.

WHAT CLUB MEETING ARE WE TALKING ABOUT HERE

I did this once. I worked at a Wendy's as a 16 year old.

Boss was a dick. Customers were assholes. Coworkers were useless. I had a 10 minute break every day. The boss pretty much screamed at me for not doing other people's duties. Once I had that break period, I laid out my uniform outside (I had a t-shirt underneath it), got in my car and left, never to return. I also refuse to eat there.

Food service was for the birds. I can't blame you for doing so. There's no shame in walking out of a job like that. Aim higher. That's what I did.

The place was a joke, so I'm....really not surprised if this was used to train employees.

Added note: For the record, I never saw this video. They expected me to know that shit in advance.
