Doom Metal Alchemist
I guess in the height of the summer heat, if you feel your electric bill is getting too high, you can use that instead? *shrug*

Honestly, running the heat in the winter takes more of a toll than the AC does. My bill during the summer never goes over $100 (except for like 2 years ago when the dude who "fixed" my heat did some shit where the heat and air were on simultaneously....Fucking idiot)...In the winter it can get to $200 a month. What I'm actually thinking is she saw "Humidifier" and thought it might help with my sinuses.....I was supposed to have surgery in January on my sinuses but chickened out.

I rarely ever had to turn on the heat in a high rise. I don't understand how people are okay with window A/C units that can't cool the whole house. Try having NO A/C in Mississippi and you'll be ok with that shit too. You know what, I had 3 window units in that house.....I wonder if anyone has stolen them yet. resurrected
Dude, we have central heat and air too, with a vent in the bathroom. Bust sometimes, when you're power shitting, and the air cuts off and you've got the shit sweats...yeah. This could come in very handy for those moments. I bought one of the fuckers in the back of the house because the shit was ridiculous. Then when I moved out my brother slid into my old room .... and now that I had to move back in. I'm in the middle of the house where the cool air doesn't reach. Also my mom turns on the heat as soon as the temperature dips below 50.

scoobdog
Actually, a miniature swamp cooler looks like it would be pretty effective with a central air heat pump unit. Swamp coolers don't humidify as much as an actual humidifier, but they can certainly help, particularly considering that heat pump systems by their nature dehumidify air. Since you didn't get the surgery on your sinuses, this device could certainly help.

cyberbully
Well i called her a few minutes ago....they are having a storm at home. Anyway i asked her what she got it for and she was like "because you have it too cold in there and the kids be freezing"....I'm thinking in my head "BULLSHIT" She is the one who complained about it being cold when she came down for Christmas and kept wanting the heat on 80 and shit. There is no excuse to be sweating at 3am. Anyway ima go check this thing out when I get home....it feels entirely too ligjt to be effective. 1

So I have no idea if it even does what it says. I'm still very interested in if it actually works though....I may try to rubber cement the seam and try it, but I'm not optimistic at all now.
