Did you ever wonder why so many pizza joints can't beat Domino's?

All the known pizza franchises suck compared to how good Domino's tastes. The only one that can even give it competition is Pizza Hut. If my mom were to ever show up with Little Caesar's or Papa John's I would have flipped!!! 😡

But she always knew better. Domino's, Pizza Hut clear second, and then basically all of the other known pizza sucks. 🤦‍♂️

Only a beta cuck would get pizza from a franchise when they live in NJ.

"Beta cuck"? Still using their terminology? That's "weirder" (and what I do doesn't qualify as weird, it's just certified player status and the haters are jealous because they don't have what it takes to ask them out) than how I pick up all the cuties on YouTube and OKC. 👫

Also, I don't know if you get this, but just because a place cooks authentic, handmade pizza doesn't mean it can compete with Domino's multi-billion dollar recipe. 🤦‍♂️

I wouldn't take a shit in a Domino's box.

Their pizza is lower than the dollar frozen pizzas at the grocery store.

Fuck Domino's. And Fuck Pizza Hut.

You have no palette.

Domino's is expensive. Its price reflects what it is- sophisticated pizza done right.

#6 Domino's

Remember that episode of The Simpsons where Bart and Homer set up a business selling grease to pretty much anyone who'll take it? Well, that's basically Domino's. The second corner of the Great Triumvirate, Domino's has carved out an incredibly comfortable place for themselves in the American pizza industry since their foundation in 1960. Unfortunately, their pizza doesn't quite match their reputation.

The toppings are great — we'll give them that. There are plenty of them on offer too, which comes in handy if you're opting for a create-your-own shindig instead of one of the pre-made items. Beyond that, though, there's not a lot going for them. The garlic-seasoned crust makes a hell of a mess, the edges are never quite crispy enough, and the things are just drenched in grease. Now, that's all fine and dandy if you're looking for a quick-fix indulgence after a night on the town — in fact, few chains do comfort pizza better — but it's just no good the rest of the time. Nobody likes a soggy slice

Which is weird since he lives in NJ and we have amazing pizza. I literally have half a dozen pizza places within 5 minutes of me.

5 minute ride is a long time on a bus, when you’re being bullied by the high school football players though. He just stays home and orders Domino’s with his mom’s credit card. If he’s been a good boy.

I'm not a fan. I don't think it's as bad as mid or stilgar but it's not good.

Look, if I had to have franchise pizza I would pick Dominoes because Pizza Hut and Papa Johns is literal garbage. But if I was going to get pizza and I had a choice it would never be from a franchise place.

Mama D's, Monical's, Antonio's, Woodstock Inn, Pizza Inn, Candlelight Inn, Sgt. Pepper's, Molly's, Congress, Father & Son, Lou Malnati's, Uno's, Edwardo's, Giordano's, Dagastino's, Paglia's, Pompei, Leona's, Rosati's, Nancy's...different towns I've lived in and each had better pizza than Domino's (with the possible exception of the U.P.).  Not that Domino's doesn't have its place, same with Pizza Hut.  When I was too poor to afford really good pizza, Domino's was serviceable.  Pizza Hut was there for Christmas parties for some places I worked.  Cici's isn't bad for a quick bite on the run.   Even Little Cesar's would get a "C".

The best thing I can say about Domino's & Pizza Hut is that they're not Papa John's, Aurelio's or Sbarro.

edit - forgot Chicago Pizza Co. & Bacino's.

 No Old World?

Old World is the best, especially the double-decker. Sausage and spinach.

What's that got to do with the thread? People burn stuff all the time and perfection is based on an individual's own tastes that are often always evolving.
I'm talking about complaining because the $5 pizza you got a chain pizzeria wasn't as good as the homemade butthole nectar of god's anus pizza was you had once or can make at home.

It's ok for these things to coexist.

Never heard of them.

My stance is that there is no "Best".  There is "Excellent", "Good", "Passible" and "Garbage".

They are in Elmwood Park.

Don't know how far they deliver, but it is worth the drive. Just get a medium though, you'll eat for a couple days.

Nah, I'll stick with a Nancy's Rustic (with sausage, spinach, red & green peppers & black olives).  Jonesing for a Monical's though.  If I ever get around exit 315 on I-57, I'll have to stop.  But Taco John's is around there too & I sooo miss my Super Beef Burrito & Potato Ole's.

I ate a pizza and half this weekend. But I’m a big fat piece of shit. No shame.
