Yeah, the Switch is supposed to incorporate a little bit of everything Nintendo has made up to this point.

I liked my SNES. It was really ahead of it's time in some areas.

I mean, all controllers now, seem to have taken the concept of the SNES controller.

I remember being mind blown when I saw the triggers on it. And more than just an A and B button.

It's kinda weird that I've become such a mark for that console because out of the consoles I've owned the SNES was the system I had the shortest time with. When I got it was one the most disappointing Christmases ever because my bought the one that didn't come with Super Mario World as the pack in game instead I got Ultraman Toward's the Future as my first SNES game. The D-pad would hurt my thumb, most of my friends were Genesis kids so and weren't into Super Nintendo and just when things started to get interesting the AV cable got damaged and my dad wouldn't replace it because I still had a NES and Genesis. And yet in spite of all that negativity it's still my favorite console xD

Well, since I posted this, our plans may change.

If I can get this refrigerator tomorrow that I am looking at, then we will do it. I need a second fridge.

As ridiculous as that sounds, I really need a second refrigerator.

I need a freezer chest....

That is funny.

I remember that is when I first started comparing the same games on different consoles.

I got Mortal Kombat 2 on SNES and my friend had it on Genesis. So, I went out and got it on Genesis, just to compare the two. I remember liking it better on the Genesis.

Mine did come with Super Mario World. But when I got my NES, back in the 80's, it did not come with the Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt combo, nor did it come with the red gun. Mine came with R.O.B. and Duck Hunt alone, and Gyromite. It came with the gray gun. I had to buy SMB separately. I could never get R.O.B. to do too much.

And making things worse every time I went to the video store Super Mario World was always out seriously I've never had so much bad luck with one system than I had with the Super Nintendo.

I had that same luck with Baseball Stars on NES. I tried to rent it every weekend. Sometimes, some other little asshole had it rented out, and my whole weekend would be wrecked.

Speaking fucking up your weekend one time I rented the Rocketeer easily the single worst game I've played and another SNES bad memory but as I said things did turn around once I got better games and was more selective with my rentals. Secret of Mana was the game that made me fan for life of the SNES.

Well most the family that get together isn't talking to eachother this year so it's just my parents and brother getting together. So in some ways yes but no too.

Families can be overrated. Just eat some good food, and to hell with the rest of them.

The refrigerator I was going to buy ended up getting sold before I could get it, so back to the original plan, fuck Thanksgiving, and fuck Christmas too. Well, fuck Christmas dinner, we will still exchange gifts, but still, fuck Christmas for every other reason, apart from my boy loves it.

Well here's another extra kick in the nuts...

SEGA USA wanted to partner up with Sony on new console but SEGA (Japan) turned it down so as a result the PlayStation was born, also there that missed opportunity to partner up with a company called Silicon Graphics a company that went on to help create the N64 and then there was that meeting with Microsoft that went nowhere and a year later the Xbox was born:|

That was Nintendo, not Sega. And the partnered with Phillips instead and how this happened.

The Nintendo/Sony Playstation went as far as getting to prototype before the deal fell through for whatever reason.

@midnight I concur that the NES Classic and yes the cord is super short. You can get a 2pk of extension cables for 8 bucks on Amazon though, which also work for SNES Classic(it's wires are longer but still short).

Oh, and no I'm not skipping Thanksgiving.

Sony also attempted to team up with Sega after Nintendo turned them down

I was about to come edit my post after looking it up. Cause I did get to thinking, there's no way Kudasai doesn't know about CDI so I probably missed or forgot about something. lol

It was an epic fail by both companies turning down Sony but more so on SEGA than Nintendo

What the cooking? I probably will to.

We just have too much stress involved with it. We usually cook a ton of food and have leftovers for days. I had, up until a couple of months ago, a second refrigerator on our patio, where we would store the leftovers. It quit working and I haven't bought a replacement yet. If I keep the leftovers in the house, people will get into them overnight and eat the fuck out of my food. So, I have decided to skip the meal altogether. Because if I came to to the kitchen the next day and my shit was eaten, I'd have a shit fit. In order to avoid that, it's better to not have it at all. Unless I buy a lock for the refrigerator, which is not something I really want to do. I know this all sounds ridiculous, but it happens on a daily basis here, and I'm not investing all that money on Thanksgiving food, just for one asshole to go in there during the night and eat out of the containers like a hog.

A lock for a refrigerator? That's some next level shut up and take my money shit >_>

Yeah. It would be aggravating as hell to do too. Basically a cable wrapped around the damn thing with a lock connecting the two ends. Just a whole lot of hell no to it all. I hate it because we love Thanksgiving, but in order to preserve what sanity I have left, it really is the only option.

I only skip it if I'm sick.

I'm sick I have to skip it. But it is what it is. Gonna do the same thing for Christmas dinner as well. Gonna skip our traditional Christmas Eve party food as well.

Open presents and eat a sandwich. If that's not good enough for everyone, Waffle House is open.
