Will update. X-rays showed a small chipped bone on one side and a cracked bone on the other.

when I read the topic I was momentarily worried that you were telling us this instead of seeking medical attention

Just got discharged. They have me in a splint for now. 2nd opinion will be decided next week once I visited an orthopedic clinic. For a moment I was afraid I might have to get surgery. Since the injury happened right along the elbow with the big bone and small bone joint area.

All my life, I never had a serious injury until now.

How bad was it?

Was it like "oh my god it hurts so much please amputate asap" or was it like "why is my elbow still so sore maybe I should get it checked"

Diagnosis: right radial head fracture. I now have 2 different appointments at 2 different places in the following weeks. 1 from the health clinic that the hospital I went to straight from work after sustaining the injury and the other my employer's occupational health clinic specialist.

Were you following company policy while using that step ladder?

It's a small step ladder. Not sure what the policy is for that thing. Other than try to be safe when using it as with all other equipments. Highly preventable had I dragged this other step ladder from the other side of the shop but that ladder I was using was closer in proximity.

Not much of a big deal since it'll heal fine after removing the said broken piece of fracture bone and as a precaution they're going to screw the the other fracture part down to heal it faster. And my workplace is covering the medical costs with workers comp.
