Get ready for the return of a ridiculous classic, at a ridiculous time: 11:30 PM!

For the first time in HD with proper aspect ratio! Only Toonami!!

And get ready for its triumphant return to the airwaves tonight by watching the official panel from C2E2, courtesy of, of all people, [as] ACTN's former competitor, Syfy!

P.S., y'all want this thread to be just for episode 1 or the entire mini-season? Looks like the whole OVA is winning...

I like that y'all are digging "Classic" as the first season's unofficial subtitle since it fits into the scheme of "_______ Rock" like the new seasons' subtitles "Progressive" and "Alternative!"

Less than 6 hours now!

I like FLCL, but I don't want to watch it.

I would much rather see S2 and S3 than see S1 again, even if it is in HD with proper aspect ratio.

1: Classic Rock

2: Progressive Rock

3: Alternative Rock

By this convention, maybe one day we'll get "FLCL 4: FLCL Hard"??

I am kinda honestly unamused. I love FLCL....... but I seen it dang a million TIMES already! You can see the dub on Funimation's site. Hell you can even see it on Youtube right now!

Having seen them a lot I'll probably mostly have it on in the background but it makes sense to repeat these one more time before the new eps, especially since it's only 6 eps long.

It's not like they are delaying the premiere to do them, since they said they are still finishing the new eps anyway, which is why they aired the first ep of S3 (Alternative) instead of the first episode of S2 (Progressive) for April Fools, since that was the one that was completed, or at least that's what they said.

That said, can't wait to see Progressive from all of their little hints about it, sounds like it channels a lot of the original.

I have high hopes for these in the ratings--well, better than Black Clover, anyway! Maybe in the 700K range, low 800Ks at the highest.

But I guess it shall be determined in a few hours!

It's mainly for any new viewers that might not have seen it previous times. This way, it slides right into the newer seasons and hopefully brings those new eyes with.

Plus, I'm guessing that there's a lot of things that are referenced in Progressive that they didn't have time to go into great detail about the what / why so having the Classic aire first kind of covers those things instead.

oh yeah, btw I finally got a chance to taste fish sausage

 

 

they were "just okay" they were edible, inoffensive, but not particularly flavorful or anything I'd choose to buy ever again

just kinda tasted like processed ham
