Is 6667% of Thiamin Too Much Daily Value?

I've read most of the time, taking too much b vitamins was fine, and their wasn't a "cap" or "overdose" that has been established for them. Should I only be taking the amount found in, lets say, those One a Day tablets? I only take these because it gives me a nice mood boost and energy for work

I normally take these every other day. Is there a safer amount I should betaking if I want to take these every day? Centrum you said was good huh? I can look at that. These percentages on mine just seem very high up there

if you can, you should really try to get what you need from food.

only in unusual cases you should look into ever taking vitamins.

Yeah I understand. Tbh though, I always feel very down with no motivation, energy, or happiness a lot of the time. So I turn to stimulants and such to help me. Nothing like hard drugs. Just stuff to help me through the day. So I look to b vitamins or different kinds of chemicals or plants. Etc

hows your sleep? a person can be eating right but not enough sleep will drag down anyone. could be something else but sleep is the next place i would look at.

I get 7-8 a night. My sleep is great. I've always felt pretty down since I was maybe 14? I'm avoiding prescription antidepressants at all costs. Its why I'm looking at all of this

ah ok.  the vitamins make sense now.  then it's probably better taking them than taking anti depressants.

i'd just monitor your body a bit more closely and always keep the vitamins in mind. if you start noticing anything different then you know what to look at first.

Yeah, I suppose so. It seems like a high amount. I see stuff like Nature Made Super B Energy Complex and it has everything at 100%. I'm curious if that would work just as well, without me having to take 4000 and up

Hey does anybody know what percentage of thiamin is in virgin blood? I take it for overall health and as a mood booster, but I never looked into what's in it...

poof's right about the megadosing, for one there's only so much your body is going to be able to absorb and utilize at any given time, two, it is potentially taxing on your kidneys and liver, water soluble or not.

best case scenario, you're literally pissing away a lot of it, so its wasteful.  Worst case you're doing more harm to yourself than good.

Yeah. I'm getting groceries tomorrow, so I'm going to just start buying those One a Day men vitamins with a energy b complex vitamin thats only at a recommended dosage. I would think that would be a better alternative. I just hope I keep the energy

Probably still not good to have that much every day.

Not true. Plenty of anecdotal evidence that vitamins and cause insomnia and anxiety in sensitive people.

problem solved. Focus on eating uncooked veggies and quality meats. Get the One a Day mens.

A lot of those vitamin supplements are not absorbed in totality, they are excreted in urine/feces/sweat. Basically, they are many times less efficient than receiving vitamin intakes through food. Many are also aimed at people with serious deficiencies so in essence need to play catchup. I take a b vitamin supplement but I don't take it daily. When in doubt ask your doctor or pharmacist.
