TV station too stressful or too boring?

Too many assholes with enormous egos. Higher-ups put you down all the time, the days are long, and it dragged on forever.

As a paramedic, nobody has the time to criticize you because you're too busy moving around. The job is stressful, but it's worth it when people improve under your care. More rewarding than journalism, for sure.

Also, the bennies are better.

Light depression and weed are ok, if you have Bipolar Disorder, Severe Clinical Depression, Schizophrenia, or any other type of cyclic mood disorder or anything that can cause auditory or visual hallucinations smoking weed is a VERY bad idea.

Fuck dude, I didn't know this. Good thing you told me, because I sometimes hang out with a guy who smokes weed, and he has offered me some before. I turned it down, but mostly just because of the stigma of "doing drugs," not because I knew it didn't mix well with bipolar disorder.

I just realized that somehow I forgot Scotch.... which is my absolute favorite alcoholic beverage out of anything period. It is also usually more expensive unfortunately so it is a rare celebration when I ever have Scotch. Plus I always feel so classy and debonaire when I am drinking Scotch... not sure what it is.

I was diagnosed with depression and given meds when I was around middle school age. All through elemantary

and middle school the teachers constantly bugged my mother with shit like your child is clearly depressed.

Pretty sure I just felt the other kids acted too stupid and werent really worth talking to.

Then they actually sent me to get diagnosed with it when I acted the same way after being taken from my family

because this crazy lady framed my mom and told people that I was never fed and constantly roamed the streets

while she was at work. That didn't last long though, and my mom was able to clear her name pretty quickly.

After that I stopped taking meds..well I did have to stay in foster care long enough to make it to the Texas Boys

Ranch, and I think at that point either it wasn't in records that I needed the meds or the "parents" there didn't

make me take it. They were pretty cool.

It is not something that definitely would happen in 100% of all cases, but I have heard from enough people who have clinical bipolar disorder and have partaken in weed in the past to know its a definite risk of having a very bad experience. Not to mention if you are also taking meds to treat it at the same time there can be some very bad chemical reactions between some of them and THC. It is specifically why I have never taken any weed from anyone since I was diagnosed and treated first in 2011. Though I just happened to never have taken it before then either, I could have on many occasions had I wanted to.

There are actually several studies on Cannabis and Bipolar disorder specifically as it has been investigated as a potential treatment with the big push for medical marijuana usage (which it is great for things like pain or anxiety management). Most of it has indicated that THC has two specific interactions with people with Bipolar disorder: 1. It can temporarily decrease the psychotic-threshold which could be a potential benefit if you are at a high risk of experiencing a psychotic or delusional episodes, 2. it greatly interacts with and amplifies the extreme ends of mood swings, e.g. this is especially bad if you are already in a depressive or manic state and could also artificially cause one to occur without warning. You can look up the research yourself if you like, just google THC Bipolar Disorder Treatment. If I had not heard about this type of experience from a friend I probably would not have looked into it though.

Teachers can sometimes be the worst perpetrators of encouraging medication of kids, which many do not actually need to be medicated. Granted there are plenty that legitimately have ADHD or a clinical depression case (typically kids who have been traumatized or bullied), but most actually do not. There are also plenty of good teachers too so please don't think I'm saying all teachers are bad. I have just heard this or similar stories from many people about teachers pushing their parents to medicate them for various things which were obviously just related to being kid and behaviors the teachers couldn't be bothered to actually address or help discipline. There is a significant reason why Psychiatrists and therapists tend to avoid slapping a diagnosis on most minors that are patients and just usually treat symptoms....

Well I've been a pessimist and I've always tended to respond negatively or with this ...> :|

since birth so I can see why teachers and psychiatrists might have thought that was an issue.

I remember pissing off the actual dr there because he was sure I had clinical depression but

when asked if I wanted meds I said hell no..How I feel right now is perfectly reasonable, and

if I'm 'depressed' I don't mind it that much. The way that shit made me feel just wasn't me.

I remember feeling like there was way too much dopamine going through my brain, and also

that the feeling of happiness I had was so fake it almost made me want to act out. I was also

questioned by another shrink type that asked me if I was getting bullied, and I was like...

Does it count if I've beaten a few kids up that tried and tend to befriend people that have

been their victims?

I was placed in another school when in foster care that had a real problem..and I was the new guy.  :|

Yeah, that was my third guess, but I thought it might be the case lol.

I've never worked at a TV Station but I've worked with plenty of narcissists and insecure people with hugely inflated egos before. Those are pretty much the most annoying and tedious people on the face of the planet, and I definitely wouldn't want to be around a bunch of them all at the same time.

In 9th grade, she was aggressive and had the hots for me apparently. I was also oblivious to this fact, and she took the first opportunity when we happened to be in an area of the school hallway where no one could see to literally shove her tongue down my throat... her tongue was huge btw. Had I actually been straight I think I would have probably enjoyed it quite thoroughly as she was considered attractive and fairly popular in our age group....

This is not the only time I've had unwanted or unsolicited attention by a hot a girl. It's like they know they can't has somehow. :|

When I was 12, I worked a summer as a newsie on the Boardwalk.  The Philadelphia Inquirer would put out advance prints after 9pm.  So, I sold them on the boards, bellowing my pitch.

"Mickey Mouse got twenty years in Sing Sing!  Read all about it!  Philadelphia Inquirer! Paper's also good for swatting flies, training puppies and wrapping fish!  Get your copy of tomorrow's newspaper today!"  Nobody took the Mickey Mouse thing seriously, of course and I wasn't expecting them to.  The pitch made me the top seller in the city for that year.  I made money and the paper also sent to me a few gift prizes.

In what way are you a freight train? Is this like an indicator of your size, determination of will, or do you just personally identify as a mother fucking freight train? I'm not judging any of these possibilities but inquiring minds must know.

Determination of will, and also all the steam.

Yeah but Phillies' problem is so has every kiss since then. :fap:

I mean, he's probably kissed it more than once at least...

I am sure he could probably find a girl to kiss if he really wanted and tried at it. :)

There is someone in this world for everyone.

I've been to the '96 Olympics. Depending on the location and how little money you have, it can be a miserable experience. Most of it is cordoned off from regular walkways so that even when there aren't games going on, you couldn't see any athletes. The upcharge of food and drink is even higher than regular sporting events, and your only access to cheap water are locals who take pity on poorer folks attending and are willing to lose major profits just to make sure people stay hydrated. I did have one nice day where my family and I ran into deserted areas that were behind big ticket events and big name athletes chilled while talking to kids. The rest of it sucked. Depending on how much money I have at the end of 2018, I would consider going to the 2020 Olympics in Japan just to wipe that crappy experience from my mind.

1996 Olympics? Were you a kid.... I was under the impression you were in my age group. I don't mean that in a bad way either. Also, I've never been to the Olympics, from what you described it sounds like they do the business model where they try to nickel and dime you for being present at said location.... That said, if I could afford it I'd love to go someday, Although I have missed the days of Michael Phelps so there is that drawback. It is nice to know that the Athletes were down to earth enough to entertain audiences with the kids. Inspiration at a young age can make a world of difference sometimes.

Packard makes more money than me, and will forever.

I thought he only made like 25,000 a year or something, I remember someone pointing that out in a thread or maybe I'm just imagining things. I'm pretty sure you will end up making more than that if you go into a decent career field, as that is not very much.

I was 11 back then, but yeah, having money is a must if you want to enjoy yourself.

I'll keep that in mind if I ever decide to purchase a ticket. I probably would have guessed as much though having been to a variety of things that were heavily overpriced tourist traps, such as Football/Baseball games at big stadiums and the one trip my Family took to Disney World when I was around 9 years old. It sounds like you're not much older than me then, though it does sound like your several years, my senior. I feel anxious enough about getting older anyways... also I apologize if my comment was unchivalrous.

*28k a year

So I was in the ball-park. That is still not very much.... we are talking about teacher's salary level (in some places probably a bit less actually). Not that I'm trying to attack him for that, I'm just saying I doubt Nabloom will actually make less money than him in perpetuity unless he plans on working retail or fast-food his entire life.
