Why not just do gold..

I've got a nice gold coin already.  Silver on the other hand... prices seem to be down on it.  You could pick up volume.  I was in contact with Augusta Gold & Silver.  Rather not deal with them.  They expect people to place orders online and then make a series of phone calls to complete the orders.  Worse, they have a $5k minimum order policy and charge NJ sales tax.  Screw them.  I'm better off hunting the stuff down on eBay.

Have you tried to buy a brick like this lately?

I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt this time. I used this website to calculate the value of your silver bar (100 tr oz.): http://www.silverrecyclers.com/Calculators/ster_calculator.aspx

It says you bar is worth 1571.57 dollars. You said this is more than your recent "big" medical bill. Well, well, well . . . :it:

Now, try buying it at that price.

Yes, I checked ebay, the same brand too, and the price hovered around 1.7k.

The point is . . . not a big medical bill.

The monthly cost of my medication, uninsured, is more than that.

I can only afford it via Medicare. Aka government-issued insurance.

Almost like that's a useful thing to have and more people should have the option. ?

Counterpoint - because you do not make enough money to sustain your own existence it is your civic duty to feed your body to wild coyote, as should anyone who ever finds themselves in a situation where they can't afford to pay for their medical expenses.

The only failure great enough to push Trump to suicide would be the increasingly inevitable closure of KFC.

More like the only failure great enough to push Trump to suicide would be having literally everything he's stolen from more deserving people to be taken away from him.

Seriously though, once he's out as President, he's a goner.

What has he stolen and who is that you deem to be more deserving?

You can buy two kilos of silver for about $1,350.  Less, if you're dealing with somebody who doesn't add a lot of markup.

I mean I see the point if you are trying to invest in something you don't think will fluctuate in value that much,

but I've always thought it would be better to just spend the money on gold if it's investment money you have

just to put somewhere. The only investing I do involves a savings account though..which isn't really investing

so.. I never really bought into that guy on tv that was always saying to buy silver for what ever reason.. Gold

might not go up though it hit a record low in 2015.

Heres some stats I guess golds been going down for a while and silvers going up so.. Why not? I need to get

into this whole investment thing before I run out of money to invest,  :D so I thought it might be worth looking

into. https://www.apmex.com/spotprices/silver-prices

After looking at the stats I'd probably still opt to buy a troy ounce of gold over two kilos of silver...The values

seem to still be fluctuating far more than gold, and gold is still worth a whole lot freaking more. Are you

thinking you'll get a greater return off silver or what? Like I said I'm not the investment type. at least not yet.
