proably because she wasn't invited? or didn't meet the criteria?

i mean...who cares?

If she had not been a woman of a certain age, but instead had been in her 20's, Kenny wouldn't care either - he'd be more focused on the fact that she was trying to sleaze her way in through a friend that worked there and was apparently going off duty soon. She flat out said that she didn't want to pay to get in, so she left.

I'm not ignoring anything.  What was the purpose of even questioning her?  They had no valid reason to even ask, whether she had it or not.

Oh.....See, I was confused.  I keep thinking we are envisioning  this on Earth.....Not the Citadel of Packards.  Yes, I assume if everyone was the same person, then it'll be cool, but on Earth, people need to be able to be identified because maybe you are a liability......And no, not just her......Every single patron because that's the rules pimp.

Her county government issued card should have ended the questions.

Hell, the last time I got carded, I used my Casino Control Commission license.  It passed.

Is it issued by the county, state, or federal government? And did they scan it, or just look at it?

Assuming that you should be treated differently is dangerous.

Standardizing a process, like carding in this example, is the safest and most responsible way to be sure everyone stays safe and that the establishment doesn't allow someone that shouldn't be there.... if you have an issue with it, stay home... But, if you card EVERYONE then nobody should ever feel offended, it's their policy.

When you're as close to my age as she is, getting carded is condescending and flat out rude.  It's an insult.  The only reason they picked on her was her makeup and choice of wardrobe.

i get carded all the time. i giggle..or shrug it off. the ONLY time i was offended was last week at evil mart. i had my daughter, and i was buying a 6 pack,

the dingbat wasn't going to sell it to me, because she assumed i was buying it for my daughter..because she couldn't discern that i was a mum with her kid grocery shopping.

other than that...it's really not that big a deal.

my cousin's mum got carded a couple weeks ago. she's 89. she was a little peeved, more confused, but totally flattered.

tl:dr ~ get over it dude.

This fucking worthless piece of shit would argue water isn't wet, with some stupid notion that water is only wet because of our perception of wetness by touching and our understanding of being moist..... with zero understanding of any of it.....

>:D

so...like i've been saying. just trying to be edgy. jebus.

some people's kids.

The Rite Aid stores here card everybody for cigarettes.  Eight or eighty, they card.  I don't have a problem with that as long as it's applied equally, like it should be for voting.  The problem starts when people go through the gate like a herd of elephants and one gets singled out just because she uses too much eye liner.

No, they picked on her because she didn't have what is usually considered valid ID, and they were attempting to work with her to remedy the situation when her "window of opportunity closed" (her friend who was going to sleaze her in free went off shift), and she didn't want to pay to get in, so she left too.

And get over yourself - I get proofed all the time. I can't buy smokes or cartridges at the drug store or beer at the grocery store without having my license scanned, because the registers are programmed not to complete the transaction until proof of age is presented. And I'm probably just about your age - I may actually be a couple of years older.

Well, none of this was in the OP, be we can play by mercy rules and find out how this is your actual argument after getting skunked.

So.......You were there and saw this herd as she was singled out?

Meh, he likes her cause she's cheap. Won't drop the $30 for a state ID, was trying to get into a club for free. The woman of his dreams.

Because I work in a casino and so I know what goes on at the night clubs.  They won't card you to get in.  They MIGHT card you when you belly up to the bar, ask for a drink and you look like a seventeen year old.

Oh. So since I've worked in hospitals, I know exactly what the drill is in a nursing home. That's an interesting premise. Too bad it doesn't quite work that way.

The club she's talking about is owned and operated by a casino, just the same as certain other casinos own and operate night clubs on premises.

Policies and procedures differ from institution to institution - I'm sure that's true in your business as well as mine. That's why new employees get orientation before they're handed a mop or a bedpan.

Did you consider that they may have been red-carded?

I can also go to Tropicana, watch the crowd and see who else gets carded.

Getting carded is entertainment on a stick at my age. I need a quick pick-me-up without going to the bookstore, I can always go and pick up a can of aerosol whipped cream for my coffee - instant card alert at the register. :D

And it's expected for any number of items that have age requirements [ex. in North Dakota, you technically have to be 18+ to buy spray paint and I believe the minimum age for rocket engines is 14 or 16] .

You don't have to be 21 to disco dance.  Getting served alcohol or gambling require a minimum age.  So, the red carding isn't likely to take place unless the younger dancers are boozers too.

You went from not knowing what a red card is to being an expert on them in just a few posts........You are so full of shit.

Raid? One of my kids was a secret shopper for a while - she would go into convenience stores or bars and try to buy alcohol and/or tobacco. If they didn't proof her, she gave them a red card, and reported it to her boss. One young-looking 24-year old girl does not seem raid-like.

And are you really so naive as to assume that there is no one under 21 drinking or gambling?

Stupid, the word you are looking for is stupid.

There lived a man with one request, that kids would scram so he could rest.  To show them what he'd do, he pitched a shoe... then another.

There once lived a crusty old Packard, who mostly needed a good smackard. He tipped in his chair and fell down the stairs, but nobody could find the will care.
