The1gairon Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 And because Bandai's a corporate ass, I cannot find the original Star Driver OP 1 on Youtube, so an amateur English fandub will have to do. Quote
PokeNirvash Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Here, have a Vimeo link. Because Youtube's not the only video streaming site around. Quote
The1gairon Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Here, have a Vimeo link. Because Youtube's not the only video streaming site around. Thankies a ton! Just like GOogle is the ONLY one search engine. Ever wanted an anime about a family theme park?? Quote
mochi Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I honestly hate this series and it's the reason I now call overdone psycho facial expressions in anime "Higurashi faces" but I love this opening same with this, one of THE worst Yuri animes ever made, but I love the OP Quote
Daos Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Amagi Brilliant Park is actually really good. Quote
mochi Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 elfie[/member] is the hamster from Fullmetal panic Fumoffu in Amagi Brilliant park?! Quote
PokeNirvash Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 They're at the very least related. Quote
Daos Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Moffle (モッフル Moffuru) Voiced by: Ayako Kawasumi (Japanese); Tiffany Grant (English)[1][3] A fairy of candies with the form of a mouse with a hat, and Amagi Brilliant Park's main mascot, who takes a mutual dislike towards Seiya. He is Latifah's uncle and is very protective of her. He has the same appearance as Bonta, the fictional mascot of the Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu series (animated at the same studio, Kyoto Animation, and based on a light novel by the same author, Shoji Gatoh). He hates it when someone calls him a rip-off of Bonta. Quote
The1gairon Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Amagi Brilliant Park is actually really good. Totes underrated, and it has a dub. 13 episodes, a solid story with an ending that ENDS, a clear goal, a satisfying climax, stupendous KyoAni animation, great slapstick comedy, and heartfelt characters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bj_BAo9fGPs Quote
The1gairon Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 elfie[/member] is the hamster from Fullmetal panic Fumoffu in Amagi Brilliant park?! Good eye. Amagi Brilliant Park is from the same author as Full Metal Panic, and it's a spin-off. Though in a much different genre. It's gosh-dang hilarious. Quote

The1gairon Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Haha, you are such a good seller. When I have downtime in a few days, I'll check it out. To be clear, my sentence there was about Amagi Brilliant Park, not Hare and Guu Hare and Guu is..... weird. Probably one of the weirdest anime comedy series that isn't by Shinichi Watanabe, but damn if it isn't hilarious. Quote

mochi Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 /thread apparently that show is based on a french novel called "La Compagnie des glaces" Quote
mochi Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 I love that opening too know nothing about the show other than that it's another one of those animes where the two main guys seem super gay but are ultimately confirmed to be straight and "just friends" by the end Quote

The1gairon Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Some of the ones I like have already been posted good job guys Not all of us have the time or memory to look through this thread. Especially when half the time we're busy listening to these rockin opening themes. Quote
CaptainStarwind Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Oh, now this takes me back...Chobits was one of the first anime I ever purchased. Quote
mochi Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 speaking of Gender bender animes (the main character of this one is actually a Trans woman and is overjoyed when they get transformed into a girl, which is in contrast to most other gender bender animes where the protagonists usually act like becoming female is a nuisance to them) that said in the Ranma 1/2 Manga Ranma actually liked transforming into a girl sometimes (he was more or less heavily implied to be genderfluid and Bi in the manga, the anime made him hate turning into a girl because they thought it was funnier) Quote
The1gairon Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Anime characters who defy genders are a refreshing thing to see for me. Like that one guy in Kaicho Wa Maid-sama who likes to dress as a girl, and the main character comes to support it. Quote
The1gairon Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 This is basically The Karate Kid in anime form, in Japan, and makes you wanna punch mountains. Quote
Top Gun Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 As much as I love Stray, the ending Gravity is what really sticks with me. It's goddamn haunting. Quote
