Even Tinder turns me off because it the internet.......PEOPLE LIE A LOT. And when you do find one that's not lying, she batshit bonkers. I'm far more comfortable face to face in initial interactions. I hate passive disappointment but still having to follow through after finally meeting someone you've chatted with online.

I hate passive disappointment but still having to follow through after finally meeting someone you've chatted with online. I started using OKCupid heavily the past couple of months. Problem is get dozens of new messages everyday and I try to answer everyone that put effort into sending a message but it's draining especially since by the time I answer everyone I have a bunch of replies and new messages again cause it took nearly an hour to sift through and properly respond to everybody. Went on four dates this past week, each with a different guy. Was hard enough working it down to people I wanted to talk to and could schedule something with since I'm so busy. Even after all that, one of them took me on a lousy date that lasted like 15 minutes. Another was good but no sparks, maybe friend material. The other two had their pros and cons but ultimately I'm back at square one and there's already 60 new people talking to me again on top of what was there before. It's absolutely exhausting.

I do like to check my Tinder, OKC, and PoF just to see if anyone ran across me and sent a message, and I'll usually find 2-3 but you can usually tell the chick is crazy. Sadly, messaging men first reeks of desperation, and when your profile says "seeking marriage" it's an automatic NOPE. I figure that's the type of thing you bring up later......Not even why seeking marriage is an option.

All the ladies expect the make a profile and just wait for the messages to start rolling in. But when it's all women, virtually no messages go out and everyone sits there until someone proactive comes in and tries to write a message. But most of the time the few messages anyone receives are ignored for trivial reasons and appearance reigns supreme.
