Before your vision becomes completely obstructed?

To clarify- looking up into the sky is not allowed, look out a window or something, and find the furthest away thing. How far is it?

I get about 1200 feet before the top of a tall building blocks everything behind it.

Yes I measured.

Eh, shouldn't matter.... Like, when you look into a forest and all you see is trees.

But they're not just trees, some of them are in front of eachother, and some of them are behind eachother.

One of those trees is the one behind all of them- not literally of course, but subjectively.

There is a furthest tree.

in my case, it would matter a bit. i'm extremely nearsighted. my point of focus is the tip of my own nose.

without my contacts, anything further than a few feet is just an indecipherable blur so i wouldn't be able to tell where my line of sight actually stopped.

~40 mi (the distance from work to Sears Tower in Chicago).  I can make the top out on clear days...until the morning rush hour smog gets going.

Out my window.... probably not more than a quarter mile with the haze.  On a good day out the back, I can see the San Gabriels which are about 30 miles to the north.
