im addicted to fruit bowls.. not ice cream. when i post about eating unhealthy sugary foods you are welcome to say something.

would you like me to pull my culinary degree out of my back pocket and explain to you in detail everything that is wrong with your fruit bowl that will ultimately land you in that predisposition African Americans have for diabetes?

Banana - 14.5g of sugar (medium banana)

Granola- 600 calories in 1 cup 28g of sugar

Mango - 46g of sugar not to mention when paired with bananas, eating too much of them will make you gain...not lose

Pineapple - 89g of sugar

Black berries - 144g of sugar in 1 cup

Raspberry - 123g of sugar in 1 cup

Strawberry - 144g of sugar in 1 cup

Honey - 21g of sugar in 1 tbsp not to mention it has the same amount of glucose as sugar, and it has the same affect on the blood that sugar does. It is not as healthy as people like to believe

all that is 610 grams of sugar.

610 grams = 1.34 pounds.

That’s assuming you’re going with recommended portion sizes, which I know her fatsass doesn’t. Assuming it’s a normal American portion, that’s 3 POUNDS of sugar in 1 sitting. I don’t even eat that in a week, and that’s assuming I have 5 2-liters of soda in a week.

So, 3 pounds a meal x 3 meals a day = 9 pounds a DAY. Assuming you have a diet soda with these meals, add another pound. So, that’s 10 pounds of sugar a DAY x times 30 days a month = 300 pounds of sugar a MONTH = 3,600 pounds a YEAR = 1.8 TONS

So yeah, you’re fucking killing yourself. :|

you guys seriously think eating ice cream is healthier than eating fruit?  ::)

Yes. Shape.com has been debunked by the USDA. You know, the government agency in charge of our food quality and stuff? Yeah. That one.

I know they aren’t really a website catered to your whims, but I’m sure they know what they are doing, as they are made up of nutritionists, food scientists, farmers, and other researchers. What do they know? They only have research and published papers and such.

its yummy and nutritious and the granola helps regulate my blood pressure

really? Because you're probably the only person on earth it does that for...and even if I did....blood pressure would be the least of your problems with that bowl...how you haven't been diagnosed with high blood sugar by now is a near miracle...and how you haven't lost your foot due to the subsequent blood sugar should be in the Bible next to the birth of Jesus

well its not a whole cup of each fruit... maybe like a 1/4 a cup? and the body does not react to natural sugars they way it reacts to processed refined sugar

diabetics can't have apples, grapefruit, watermelon, etc etc and if he was eating Splenda isn't good either...it's sucralose...made from sugar...and in studies have shown that it can affect blood sugar and insulin, not to mention has been noted in increasing the risk of cancer. It also is being studied because it tends to show that it kills the good bacteria in your stomach and intestines, also inhibits the body in creating more good bacteria

They're alright, but I feel like the ice cream taiyaki always feels like the bready part is stale cause it has to deal with the ice cream and freezer's moisture. Even after ragging on the floury parts of mochi ice cream in Misaka's thread, I'd say I enjoy the mochi ice cream more for holding the ice cream together.

The taiyaki with just the bean paste though is a nice treat to go along with some tea or coffee. A market by me makes bags of them on some weekends.

*shaking my head* Yeah. You don’t understand diabetes, then. Or, like everything you fucking say or do in your life, it’s fucking fake as shit. My dad is diabetic, and also an amputee, due to complications from it and cancer. If your grandmother (Type 1, I’m assuming) had it, and your dad developed it (Type 2, in his case), you are genetically predisposed to it. You have a 50/50 shot of developing it, no matter what age. Flooding your body with sugar is just going to exacerbate the issue and send your body into full blown Type 2, assuming that’s the lucky card you drew.

Wait. Do you even KNOW about diabetes? You should, since your dumbass is 300% more likely to get it, given your ethnicity and gender, not to mention your location in the United States. Then again, what do I know? I just did research on this thing for 10 years of my life and lived with my dad everyday and shit. Not like I was in a major car crash because he went into diabetic shock behind the wheel or anything.

Holy carp. I think I need to find those things now.

I also need to find out if they have those things in Atlanta and try to get someone to deliver a bunch to FishCenter. If it's got red bean in it, it'll be like biting a fish and getting bled on. :D

lol don't they look like magickarp that have just finally given up on life?
