I mean it’s less common in Southwestern cuisine because apples aren’t grown in California’s main agricultural regions due to the excessive heat. Everyone could eat apple sauce as a stand-alone just to eat applesauce I suppose, but it’s more likely you’ll get it as a side (like with Disco’s pork chops) in regions where apples are traditionally grown.
Didn’t think that was something I needed to explain.
I wasn't going to participate in this thread since I've never had much of an opportunity to eat apple sauce. It's just not a regularly available thing here... unless you count baking. I've used it in baking and it's one of those ingredients that tends to have an outsized importance in a recipe because its used to provide both flavor and moisture - you have to really build your bread or cake around it rather than the other way around.
I don’t know if eye contact is an arbitrary norm. Someone isn’t lesser because they’re unable to do so, but eye contact is still critical to interaction.
She’s a cool cat for sure. I only get bits and pieces from here, but I kind of hope she’d stop by and have a bit of fun even if for just the day.
And, while ghosty’s pig fight video was touching, I couldn’t celebrate my birthday without you Buddy.
