Ok, maybe i should have been a bit more specific about what part of the Swift hate I don't get. If I see another commercial with all of her personalities trapped in an elevator with a rando, the orgy is off.

I wouldn't say she's talentless, but she isn't a generational talent. She's a pretty decent popular music artist who creates music that is at least listenable without the same amount of auto-tune Ariana Grande might need.

This Taylor Swift hate is kind of surprising to me. I don't really care about her either way and the coverage is silly for the most part, but I do like the fact she's bringing attention to the sport by people who aren't normally football fans for reasons that are nefariously my own. A sport as violent as professional football can only evolve if enough non-fans watch it and force it to make changes. It also builds up a non-football fan base for guys like Kelce and humanizes them.

That’s what it is. Ultimately, the entreaties for YouTube to deplatform her are themselves disingenuous- the bullshit they complain about is the bullshit they rely on to get attention, and she’s an easy target. Every single one of the follow-ups is as intellectually bereft as the jackfilms first, and they’re all doing what they accuse SSSniperwolf of: pandering to their fans to whip up anger.

But, staying on the topic of misogyny, @ghostrek - you're right in that objectifying women is generally misogynistic in the context that it infantilizes them. Joking about her tits isn't so much that given she's clearly using them as part of her persona, there is still a fine line when it comes to doing so because it's a fairly narrow context entirely defined by intent. The bigger problem with this entire ridiculous controversy is that it's building up nefarious intent around what amounts to immature behavior by SSSniperwolf triggered by equally immature behavior by Jacksfilms, and that is a known hallmark of misogynists and bigots. Jacksfilms is echoing cancel culture in a cynical way as misogynists tend to do, as in she's violated a rule therefore she needs to be punished by being deplatformed. He's also (like the above dude) weaponizing how she uses her modest sexual appeal by suggesting she's intent on using her army of fans to destroy him without explicitly saying that's what she's doing. None of this means she's innocent, just that commentary on her intent focuses heavily on her gender and less so on the direct consequences of her actions.

I mean, her whole schtick is to look sexy while doing next to nothing, so it's hardly misogynistic to reduce her online persona down to her anatomy. That is quite literally what she's selling. The dude spending that much time going after her for content stealing, though, is exhibiting misogynistic tendencies based on how he's going about criticizing her and then gaslighting her over her supposed "stalking" and "doxxing."
