  1. At some point, you have to kind of figure it might not be the coach or the players that that are the problem.
  2. Sure, bro.
  3. I don’t mess with yellow stones.
  4. Nice. We’re getting fresh blood in here.
  5. College football. Of course there is context… I work on the sidelines: I can justify missing a quarter because I’m actually doing something related to my work away from the stadium. So, perhaps it’s not as simple as I’m walking out of the stadium as much as I rearrange my workflow so that I “have” to miss the game. As to what it does…. I typically miss out on some of the injuries. Even when I’m at the game, I can usually keep myself busy so I’m not paying attention. I’ve been doing this work for about 20 years now, so it’s not like I got to this point with any intent, I’ve just come to the realization that I probably wouldn’t watch any of the game from the stands if I couldn’t make up something to do when it’s inconvenient.
  6. The only reason to boycott is for your own well being, and most of us probably won’t get that far. Still, it does make me think about how I cope with football. I suppose it’s one of the reasons I refuse to watch my team on tv and typically skip quarters while watching the game in person.
  7. Not to be a downer (well, actually maybe a little bit): saw this opinion piece on CNN. I'm not so disingenuous to suggest that people stop watching football when I still do (in person, at least), but each passing year brings more difficulties when getting enjoyment out of the game.
  8. Not the sleeping with your ex part.
  9. No they aren’t.
  10. I’m jealous too.
  11. And it only took 55 minutes to get.
  12. How is that place getting 4.2 stars?
  13. Dude, you only need ten minutes to write each paper anyway.
  14. I like it. Maybe the baddies are trying to steal something or they're terrorists. Maybe they're trying to overturn an election!
  15. You have to see it to believe it. I’ve been looking for it online but I can’t find it.
  16. Actually, the officials were just resetting the ball after a previous pass play. I didn’t see the Wildcats sub in or out.
  17. The officiating at the USC @ Arizona game was just awful. If you didn't see the last play of the first half, the clock is running while the refs were just standing there with the same confused look as the rest of us. Caleb somehow ran a play that ended with a pass completed just short of the goal line, all while the clock was at 0:00. The officials waved it like it was an actual play. Then they spent another ten minutes conversing like they were figuring out what was going on before saying it was the end of the half. Rile came over and started tearing into the referee like no one's business before he peeled off and walked past us (I was on the field) to the referees locker room.
  18. I know. ... On the plus side, Christopher Lloyd looks good.
  19. I'm not sad because that looks scary.... I'm sad because that's an old Toys 'R Us.
  20. Probably because it's not being used like it should be. Also, the article says George Harrison is thought to have never actually used a fully electric sitar even though he was the one that introduced it to rock.
