well everyone tastes things differently. i've heard, for example, that some people don't like cilantro because, to them, it tastes like soap. maybe my taste buds just aren't dialed in to oregano. also, do you know where i can get some "oregano" which is clearly a euphemism for something else?

it has this strange, i don't want to call it a flavor, metallic "quality" to it. i think that's why i find it can be overpowering if over used. but yeah, i couldn't really describe its "flavor" either.

i am not a huge fan of oregano. i mean, i don't hate the substance. i won't screw up my face and return the dish to the chef for re-seasoning. i just don't think it really adds much to the flavor profile, and i've never once thought to myself, "you know what this dish needs? more fucking oregano." i have, however, eaten dishes that had too much and it's pretty easy to do as it can be strong if overused. so, yeah. i'm meh on oregano. unless we're using oregano as a euphemism for pot. in which case, this dish needs more fucking oregano.

I'd gladly trade my job for universal basic income.
