If you can't comprehend the difference between defending a show from shitty criticism, and letting legitimate criticism ruin your enjoyment of a show, then you should sit this conversation out.

I know exactly what PAX is. The event in Philly, PAX Unplugged, was specifically focused on tabletop gaming and was distinct from a normal PAX.

...does one really need to explain that one's thoughts about a work of fiction are, y'know, one's own opinion on it? Like, I've never been able to wrap my head around people who are super-concerned about other people's opinions of what they like. I'll go to bat in an instant for stuff that I feel is legitimately good and I see as getting a bad rap, but at the end of the day I don't give a shit what they say. Have a bit of self-assurance.

Well yeah, chucking it in isn't too bad, but it takes me forever to fold and hang up shit. Hell, most of the time my clean underwear never leaves its basket after I take it out of the dryer. Laundry's one of those shitty repetitive tasks that you know a robot could handle no sweat, like taking out the trash or cutting the lawn or all that other domestic bullshit.

Gross nothing. Doing laundry is fucking awful. I put it off for as long as humanly possible.

Not exactly my genre, but I've seen a lot of praise for My Brother's Husband. It's by an author mostly known for bara porn, but it's apparently a really heartfelt story about a Canadian man meeting his deceased Japanese husband's family.
