That, Negima, whatever other crap he made recently that had a bunch of Negima people show up, who knows what else... What's weird is that he's actually voiced some very good opinions over the years. He was vocal against that bullshit Youth Ordinance bill, he's very supportive of doujin artists, and he has a reasonable stance toward the issue of piracy. Yet he couples all of that with producing absolute pablum. Can't win 'em all I guess. And I mean I see his point here, but at the same time, if you're going to intentionally seek out huge international markets, you're occasionally going to need to tailor your products to the local standards in said markets to be successful there. The alternative is you keep doing what you were always doing, but don't be surprised if people give your work the side-eye. I'm definitely against censorship, but at the same time there are commercial realities at play.

Yeah man The Last of Us 2 selling more than 4 million copies in its opening weekend and becoming the fastest-selling PS4 exclusive is totally bombing. Totally. Anyways Ken Akamatsu might have a point if he'd ever managed to create something that wasn't steaming garbage, but, well...

If we can't get a new premiere at the moment, then I'm mostly indifferent as to what they choose to rerun, since I'd be jumping in afterwards regardless unless it was something I really wanted to rewatch. I might have tuned in if they were doing a full MHA season 4 repeat run.

Not 100% sure why I got tagged in this but goddamn that is a sweet haul. I knew Laserdiscs had some gorgeous box art, but that's amazing.

I would assume that they are getting episode scripts from the studio, unless something goes horribly wrong, but they'd be getting said scripts well in advance of each episode's actual broadcast. The Japanese voicework for an anime episode is done fairly early in the process, not after the episode's a completed product as in the case of an English dub. There's no way that was the hold-up here.

Jesus...what wouldn't I? Maybe try working on the anxiety thing a good decade or so before I actually did so I can figure out how interpersonal relationships are supposed to work. Do some shit I never did as a kid, even if it was getting consoles I never owned. Get family medicals medical treatment before they actually received it. For damn sure make sure I chose a different major in college. Maybe pick up on signals that certain people were throwing my way but I was totally oblivious to. Try meeting certain people even earlier than I originally did, but definitely make sure I still met them regardless. Not wind up in a job that gives me no real satisfaction, with no sense of what I actually want to do. That'd be nice.

What exactly do you want them to say? "We're doing our very best here, but we're having to deal with several dozen people with several dozen different personal schedules recording with several dozen different personal equipment and environment setups, and it's a massive pain in the ass to collate all of this and produce something listenable in a timely manner"? They'd just be stating the obvious. If even one of the primary actors working on any of theses shows has some sudden tech issue pop up, or some personal crisis related to the weird-ass situation we all find ourselves in, FUNi can't release an episode. I'm sure they've been essentially stretching themselves to the breaking point trying to get out what they have so far.

I was trying to think of what episodes I'd most like. Has to be either All Might's beatdown of Nomu from the climax of the first season, or UNITED STATES OF SMAAAAASH!

Real talk though, a mecha series. But definitely the super robot kind, where MANLY SPIRIT and kicking reason to the curb can solve every problem, not the real robot kind where everything is hideously depressing and most of the cast dies. A hard sci-fi series could be great too, where you'd get access to something like Ghost in the Shell's cyberbrains (but hold the dystopian future). I'd kill to live in the world of Planetes, where there's a huge infrastructure of people working and living in space. At the end of the day though, if you're looking for pure adventure, you can't beat One Piece as far as I'm concerned. A huge unexplored world full of unknown mysteries, a nigh-infinite array of Devil Fruit abilities...sounds like a blast.
