  1. I downloaded a single media player and they worked just fine. It literally took next to no effort.
  2. The UK has a Blu-ray of it, but it's still the fancy limited-edition set. I'm assuming/hoping they'll get a standard release at some point.
  3. Seriously, any sort of dramatic tension DBZ tries to establish with character deaths is more comedic than anything else.
  4. If not, there's always the Australian R4 DVD set. You'll pay over $100 for it, but still.
  5. Putting the resident psycho's ranting aside, for those of you tired of getting screwed over by Aniplex's bullshit, you should definitely take a look at importing UK releases. Most of the big Aniplex titles I can think of are distributed by Anime Limited/All the Anime there, and the prices are in-line with domestic distributors. International shipping from Amazon UK is far more reasonable than I would have expected, and there's another independent online store I've also used that was a bit cheaper still on a few things. The obvious downside is that UK Blu-rays are all region B (and DVDs are region 2), but there are Blu-ray players out there that have been finagled to play multiple regions, and there are also a few (dubiously legal) software solutions that let you bypass the region change restrictions on a PC's drive. I've imported a number of Aniplex titles from the UK, including Kill la Kill and Durarara, and even one or two series from Australia that never even got licensed here.
  6. Should we tell him that the Heart kid was a dude?
  7. Not sure what to think of the deal as a whole, but Aniplex (and their price-gouging American wing) is part of Sony Music Japan, a completely separate entity from the US-based Sony Pictures. Aniplex pricing isn't an issue.
  8. Nigel Thornberry is my spirit animal.

    Melon?

It's not gay if their grapes don't touch.
  10. Yeah, I happened to read the last episode review on ANN. It sounded amazing.
  11. It made a full run on TV, which is more than most properties get. And the DVD release didn't go anywhere because Viz were complete fuck-ups who were notorious at that time for not properly handling non-Shonen Jump series, so people weren't willing to invest in the first part of the series with no guarantee that they'd ever release the rest. Meanwhile Siren Visual in Australia put out the entire series, and a bunch of fans in the US imported it. Amazing how things actually sell when you market them properly.
  12. Very happy with my Logitech G710+.
  13. Ah yes, the perfect lineup that showed such all-time gems as Psychic Wars, Vampire Wars, Sword for Truth, Descendants of Darkness, MD Geist, and Virus Buster Serge. I'd forgotten that Transformers: Dark of the Moon was a far better movie than Citizen Kane because it made way more money.
  14. Nuke your house from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
  15. At least half the block is good shit, which is better than we were doing for a long while.
  16. We don't hate autistic people, we hate a certain asshole who just so happens to be autistic.
  17. Weirdest part was when I went in for my follow-up several days later, and the hygenist uses this syringe to clean out the sockets, and all these disgusting pieces of the soft food I'd been eating come out. :barf:
  18. I think I have a T-shirt or two from around 2000, but they're pretty ratty things I only wear to bed.
  19. My God you are broken as fuck.
  20. First one I've chuckled at in a long while.
  21. Bags of frozen peas on each cheek. Does wonders for swelling.
  22. I have a bottle of I don't even know what that I haven't ever opened. I'm never in social situations that I would think require it.
  23. My high school ring doesn't fit at the moment, but I still wear my college ring frequently.
  24. FreeSpace 2. Best space sim of all time.
