  1. Just another example that Hockey players are a different breed... http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/sports/Video-Hartman-and-Darling-Visit-Hockey-Loving-Kids-in-Chicago-416443323.html
  2. Not enough information. Conviction does not necessarily mean the guilty party was convicted. If the victim's husband believes the convicted man committed the crime, then he'd be the most likely to go after the convicted man. But - what if he doesn't go after the convicted man? Perhaps the husband himself committed the crime. In that case, the convicted man could kill the Defense Attorney for failing him or go after the Husband if he knew the truth. Beyond those two, I could only see the Prosecuting Attorney going after the Husband and only if he believed the Husband to be the actual guilty party. I can't see any scenario where the Defense Attorney or Prison guard killing anyone except in self-defense.
  3. It was 5 hrs straight without waking. Something changed a year or so ago - I'm out within 15 min of my head hitting the pillow (between 8:30 & 10pm depending on the kind of day I've had), but after midnight I wake up every hour briefly, until I get up at 4am.
  4. If you ever find yourself near one, I highly recommend the "Texas Burger". If I ever hit the lottery, I'd consider opening one - but only if I could get the original recipes for everything. http://drive-ins.dog-n-suds.com/page.php?5
  5. Dog & Suds>>>>>>>>>>>>>7-Up > Sierra Mist > A&W Root Beer > Sprite > Barq's >>>>>>>> Mug Only a dozen or so Dog & Suds places remain from a company that was once nationwide. Original owners sold it out to a corporation that ran it into the ground. And as for the original question, Root Beer drinkers would win - some of that stuff is absolutely harsh, tasting like dishsoap. If people can still drink those awful brands, they're obviously made of stronger stuff than any 7up/Bubble Up/Sprite/Sierra Mist/Slice/Former Teem drinkers.
  6. I forget what the "term" is for following a link, that leads to another link, that leads to another link, but I did just that... I just found out that a band from the 50s, Joey Dee & the Starlighters, who had a hit with "Peppermint Twist", had a guitarist by the name of Joe Pesci. He left to pursue an acting career and was replaced in the band by....Jimi Hendrix. Neither was involved in "Peppermint Twist".
  7. Strange that I heard the exact same story about Walter Payton. Get the feeling that it's something that people need to believe about successful Black men.
  8. From a decent movie - "American Hot Wax" (kind of the story of the first Rock & Roll concert & Alan Freed)
  9. If they have nothing better to do, they'll make up rumors about anybody. I found out that my coworkers at a previous employer thought I was gay - when I asked why, I was told, "Because you dress nice and never talk about your relationships." I was surprised that anyone thought I "dressed nice".
  10. Hope things turn around for you quickly.
  11. That's seriously sad. It had better have been in a very difficult location.
  12. Walking to New Orleans, Blueberry Hill, Ain't That A Shame, I'm Walking, I'm Gonna Be A Wheel Someday... BTW- If you ask him, he'll tell you he's the originator of Rock & Roll >
  13. Quite a few contemporaries are still around. Little Richard & Fats Domino, for instance.
  14. "So sad to hear of Chuck Berry's passing... The Father of Rock & Roll. I was fortunate enough to have met him a few times, and to hang/play with him on stage & behind the scenes, during the filming of Hail! Hail! Rock & Roll. An unforgettable experience... And as Dad once said "If you tried to give rock and roll another name, you might call it Chuck Berry." Thank You for All that You gave us.... My Heart & Prayer go out to his Family & Friends" - Julian Lennon
  15. Keep this up zeni and OKC will pay you to stay away - you're costing them business.
  16. Other than eating real fast. Got too used to having to pound stuff down before getting paged to some location in the stores I worked at. Haven't worked in a store since '95 and still haven't been able to break the habit.
  17. Everybody gets at least one.

    SNOW!!!

1-3" here Sun. Night into Mon. Morn, then an additional 3-6" going into Tues. when the "Lake Effect" kicks in. They said we've only had about .7" since Dec. and are calling this storm a "drought buster" for the area. Beginning to look like I'll be putting the gas I bought for the snowblower into my car this year even if we get the max 9" snowfall.
