Yeah, those class action lawsuits always move the goalposts. I did that one against that telemarketed free cruise ship deal. Used the website that checks your number & tells you if you were called. It said I was (and I probably was) so I entered the suit and it said that was all I'd have to do. FF to a couple months ago & they move the goalposts, stating I have to come up with documented proof they called me - from almost a decade ago.

Had it happen twice. Both times, both credit cards were all over it. I also had the Equifax check & did the dark web check. Thankfully, the data that was out there was from a decade ago, the first time my cards got compromised. Pretty much did the same as you - froze everything, got new cards (then) and set up alerts. Amex is hypervigilent about things that seem out of the norm as far as purchases. Citibank surprised me in alerting me just by noticing I had supposedly purchased gas over 200 mi away, then 10 min later bought a haircut where I live. Very pleased they jumped on it.

Ugh. That had to be the most unsympathetic & repulsive character it's ever been my misfortune to come across in an assigned reading. Naturally it was the teacher's favorite book. Meanwhile, I was reading Vonnegut in my spare time, unfortunately no teacher I had ever assigned him. I did, however, have a Professor in college that looked like Vonnegut's twin. "Art Appreciation", he showed the original "Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" in class (silent) and played a recording of music that I found very haunting. After class, I asked him what it was..."It's Tangerine Dream, but it's slowed waaaaaaay down". The way he said it reminded me of Prof. Jennings in "Animal House".

Whoever this is, I raise a toast to them!
