I swear it wasn't my intention to take her back to my place

As far as the stories told go... I'm more about reading the story behind the story. Take Lot for example - was Lot punished for continuing to stay in Sodom? No. Did he attempt to tell everyone there what sinners they were? No. Did he avoid the people of the town? No. He only kept himself and his family on what he believed to be the correct path, not others. But that stuff is never talked about.

I can talk to crazy people and understand what they're saying

The Dems are better at making it look like they're not controlling the narrative, while they push the narrative that the GOP is suppressing votes everywhere.

Sure there was - just charge the wife with Treason. Ask Anne Boleyn. -
That belt is 56 inches long.

Came close to a second time - salmonella. We were packing to move & the roommate thought I was faking being ill to get out of packing...until he heard me at 2am doing the techicolor yawn. Once the puking stopped, diarrhea kicked in. At least I was aware enough that I needed electrolytes.

Neither is better than the other and both together es muy mal. I had the Hong Kong back in the '70s. I came home from school ravenously hungry & made 2 subs, downing both. Took a nap before having to go to work. Woke up and every time I moved, I puked. Then the other end got involved and I sat on the can with a bucket in my lap. Never want to go through that again.

And far too intelligent?

1) I wouldn't have anything to do with a teenager - they're clueless outside of their little worlds. 2) Still a far cry more than on a city bus with you. -

If you could see it. Lots of coal burning in those days. -

No central air, only outhouses or chamberpots (no tp), no deodorants, etc. -

I think I'd rather have the '40s. Cool cars & clothes. -
Illinois is in the red pretty badly. Madigan's constantly looking for new ways to raise taxes, the latest (I've heard of) being a per mile tax on driving. He presented a budget so far in the red that the Governor had to veto it. The House farted around and the State defaulted on paying things before they finally presented something that, while still far negative, at least was somewhat better. Now all the Dem campaign ads are saying we're in debt and stuff didn't get paid because of the Gov not agreeing to their horrible budget. And the majority of the voters in this state will buy it because they can't remember what they had for lunch, let alone what happened during the budget crisis.
-
Here's the scam - Michael Madigan is the Speaker of the Illinois House & therefore sets the agenda that comes before the House. So he decides when to raise property taxes. By the way, his law firm specializes in appealing high property taxes for clients with very deep pockets (no conflict of interest there). His daughter Lisa, is the Illinois AG. She's not going to investigate him. And to show what a nice guy he is, his daughter wanted to run for Gov. He put the kibosh on it because it would have meant he'd have to give up being the Speaker. Swell guy! Nothing happens in Illinois unless he & his right-hand man John Cullerton say so.

You made a mistake, you wrote Chicago, but obviously meant Illinois.

Ever tried them? I'm guessing no. I can't eat them anymore because of the onion & honey, but they're fantastic & too addicting.

On the contrary, if you're being loud, you're being selfish by not taking others into consideration.

Wut? I've had a mustache, a mustache with a jazz dot, back to a mustache, clean shaven, and now a thinner mustache with a full goatee. Do what you want, it's your face. -
"Quite" what? I disagree - most rules (and laws) revolve around not being selfish.
