One of the stores I managed, I heard a call for the stock person to come to the public restrooms near layaway. When I got there, they just told me that a customer complained about the mess in the Women's Restroom. After confirming nobody was in there I took a look & somebody had freakin' exploded all over the stall - the walls, the toilet, the floor. I knew the stock person was doing a carryout & I wasn't one of those "it's beneath me" types, so I went to the stock room & got a roller bucket, filled it with hot water & cleaner, grabbed a mop & headed back. I got there & opened the door - the freakin' place was completely clean! The layaway people swore they buzzed nobody in and the stock person said he didn't do it. To this day, I can't figure out who went in there & cleaned it up.

Yellow 7 was much later. During the Inuyasha thing, I was lurking - trying to figure out wth they were talking about (I didn't watch the anime stuff) and wondering if I should even bother actually joining [asmb].

I remember the Inuyasha meltdown.

Many family trees get complex. Families with many kids back in the 19th Century or earlier would have a kid die, so the next kid they had would be named the same as the kid that died (provided they were of the same sex). Nothing like doing research & someone that is supposed to have died is getting married a couple decades later.

I recall something like "Purple Jeezus Punch" from the story used in the movie "Animal House". Very close to "Trash Can Punch" we drank at parties.

I miss the "Dave's Deluxe" - pretty much it was Wendy's answer to the "Whopper". But the veggies were fresher/crisper, like a "McDLT".

I used to use bacon to fish in the local creek. It was easier just to flip rocks over & grab crawdads.

Bacon Cheeseburger - lightly dusted with black pepper while cooking. Toast the buns. Little mayo & lettuce. Maybe sub guac for the mayo.

I'd be interested, but as you say... Those "Ovilus" devices remind me of trying to find FM stations that would come in when we lived in rural Illinois in the early 70s. I had a receiver that had a free spinning dial, the ovilus reminds me of giving the tuner a spin (station skip) across a bunch of stations to get from one end of the band to the other.

To the contrary, I had a more diversified HS education than most (goes for grade school as well).

I attended 3 different HSs & the Government classes in each & it was never taught in any of them. (Stupid local rules required that I take the course in the county the school was in)

Just because something hasn't happened recently doesn't mean we should remove the stopgaps that make sure it doesn't happen again. That would be like, I dunno, not having your kid vaccinated because Measles or Whooping Cough have been eradicated?
