  1. Frozen shoulder has better movement, but still feels like my arm is being ripped from its socket when I move it too quickly.
  2. Some would say our rotor is an antique too. 😄
  3. Fancy 60s houses had them. Even fancier if your rooftop antenna had a rotor with a nice long-range Winegard antenna. My Dad had a channel changer & antenna rotor...Me. Go up into the attic and turn the antenna until I say to see if we can get the (blacked out) Chicago Bears game in.
  4. These were fun too. Hard plastic wrapped twin lead that never seemed to stay in the plug.
  5. Cousin of mine had a 90" in his basement. His little boy drew on it with magic markers. He asked me, since I used to sell Home Entertainment stuff, if there was anything he could do. I found some stuff online, and thankfully it took the stains right off without damaging the screen.
  6. Zenith was bought out by Lucky Goldstar (LG). The last console models I sold had an "AFC" switch that, along with a little tweeking on channel 3, would remove the local cable channel's scrambling. All the premium channels were sub bands of channel 3 on that cable, including some that weren't part of any package they offered.
  7. Sony's probably the best, but I never liked their "our products don't have issues" attitude when I had to take stuff in for repair. I used to buy Panasonic stuff because I knew it would hold up, but they've pretty much disappeared. The 55" Samsung I bought came with about 5 dead pixels. CR has the top 10 as all Sony or LG. #11 is a Samsung.
  8. Thanks, I work hard at it.
  9. If I were to guess from the look on her face, I'd say she was summoning her inner "Karen" because some kids in the direction of her icy gaze are acting up.
  10. No it wasn't. That meme has been making the rounds, but someone into that sort of thing posted this elsewhere - "actually according Fandom the timeline for Max Max is 1984 ( some visible dates are seen in the film) which was a "few years from now" (based upon the 1979 film release. Road Warrior was set about 3 years after Mad Max. The 3rd film was 15 years later."
  11. I think for some of those it was more about "art" than comfort. Just look at some of the chairs Frank Lloyd Wright designed.
  12. I figured this would be the reply. Still, we usually hear about anything 4 or above here (unless something lower happens locally, like the 3.8 in 2010) and I don't ever recall hearing about NC here.
  13. You'd think it was 2020 or somethin'.
  14. Hey, stuff happens. Now that I know where to look, I've won the day 4 times & didn't even know.
  15. Maybe for a "Chicago Handshake"...
  16. You referring to this NW Suburban kid who lived north of I-80 all but 10 years of his life? Don't think so. .
  17. The last "GOP" Governor here was George "Lyin'" Ryan. A name his constituents in Kankakee gave him. The last real GOP Governor was Jim Edgar. I don't consider Blago a Dem or GOP, he was all about "what's in it for me?".
  18. Maybe it went out to celebrate "International Cat Day".
