Some segments I'd been using FUNI's 30th anniversary remasters and it has this annoying flat watercolor-like smearyness in motion and facial shadows have distractingly sharp outlines. The Selectas don't have this issue (and it'd be easier to line them up with the Kai footage too).

I made it into the 2nd round of this year's Austin Film Festival screenwriting competition for example, and usually this would be cause to celebrate since a 2nd round badge gets you into professional roundtable workshops, networking opportunities & etc, but this shit's become so deliberately mismanaged that they've started releasing the results only 3 weeks before the actual conference, the prices for airfare and hotels are so jacked as to say "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA FUCK YOU THERE'S TOO MANY OF YOU BE RICH LIKE US" TLDR; Placed in a prestigious festival off an admittedly mediocre script, not attending bc not enough time in advance to book anything.
