Some segments I'd been using FUNI's 30th anniversary remasters and it has this annoying flat watercolor-like smearyness in motion and facial shadows have distractingly sharp outlines. The Selectas don't have this issue (and it'd be easier to line them up with the Kai footage too).

More often than not yes, but having an avenue for us peasants to crawl in burnt down is always a bad thing. I made it into the 2nd round of this year's Austin Film Festival screenwriting competition for example, and usually this would be cause to celebrate since a 2nd round badge gets you into professional roundtable workshops, networking opportunities & etc, but this shit's become so deliberately mismanaged that they've started releasing the results only 3 weeks before the actual conference, the prices for airfare and hotels are so jacked as to say "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA FUCK YOU THERE'S TOO MANY OF YOU BE RICH LIKE US" TLDR; Placed in a prestigious festival off an admittedly mediocre script, not attending bc not enough time in advance to book anything.

Now THIS pisses me off. It's like they're guarateeing the only way to get a job in the arts--sorry... "content creation," is through nepotism. Hollywood dynasties/shogunates/whateverthefuck.

Just blew through all of Bubblegum Crisis and Crash. Crisis is fucking great. Stereo cranked, adult beverage in hand, makes your balls feel like concrete. Too bad it's unfinished though because Crash sucks ass (though it does have a GREAT opening theme). Now I wanna pull up a gun on some anime exec to finally force them into adapting Exaxxion.
