this is what i've been doing the whole time

as of right now we give out special custom ranks when people contribute to the server fund. we started out with a complicated scheme of like a certain number of dollars givers you a rank for a certain number of months, but forget about all that for now. $20 donation = custom rank for a year and/or forever.

There was originally a subsection envisioned to act as a hub for "artists" - it's here, but it's invisible because there are no boards set up. I might be able to find more intent on the freeforums, but it was intended less for people to show off/sell their wares than it was for creative types to get together or help each other and stuff like that.

Just thinking out loud, we could also possibly set up a rank for ban-alts so they only have access to df until they hit a certain threshold. Just to keep the trash where it belongs, so to speak. I'm not over promising though because I'm thinking out loud in a public space and don't want people to hold me to it.

We do have the discord group already and there are things we do on occasion, so that's definitely a good primary area to focus on.

So I think maybe we can divide the boards into a few categories to focus on: - toonami/[as] folks - creative artists - discord/gaming - general discussion/shitposting

That would be cool to be able to do more. I was going to try to do more with the shared interest in ssb, but life got in the way. Closest we have to a regular game thing right now is "Friday night Jackbox with Ramo".
