  1. It was 72 today and drizzly and it was great
  2. this is his second attempt, either he wins or he enters "unserious perennial candidate" territory
  3. Even without Cuomo there are three candidates to split the anti-mamdani vote, so they'd still have to all agree to consolidate under one guy. But if Adams wins again that would be so incredible, but not in a good way.
  4. Real estate etc. all having to circle back to supporting Adams wololo
  5. Wasn't on the compilation disk. ALttP was remade on the GBA with the Four Swords multiplayer add-on around the same time which is probably why. I never owned it though, closest was (aside from the switch online subscription) when Club Nintendo shut down and the let everyone liquidate their points for Wii virtual shop games. I used points to get it for my sister and I played through it there.
  6. from what I saw of his remarks, he was shockingly not negative, but also didn't say anything about his intent re: the independent line he has
  7. Mamdani should have the race in the bag by the second round, given Lander cross endorsed him. Cuomo ran the (Hillary Clinton-style) "inevitability" campaign, but Mamdani had a lot of last-minute momentum as the anti-Cuomo vote coalesced. The real question I think is whether Cuomo continues on as an independent candidate, and how that might affect the general election.

  9. happy birthday @MEXobiologist!!!
  10. it was a shadow docket decision, no written opinion necessary
  11. I feel like I saw somewhere that the US back channelled Iran at the onset so they could evacuate before the initial bombing. Basically a lot of it feels like kabuki theater.
  12. I think I read that the probe is a lightday away. Repeat the five decades again 364 more times and it'll hit one lightyear.
  13. also important https://electionlawblog.org/?p=150525
  14. The big open question is whether the weather impacts the older, high propensity voter turnout. If they all show up, Cuomo probably wins. If they stay home so they don't die of heatstroke, that helps Mamdani. I don't know if it has any impact but the Governor did sign a bill over the weekend repealing the provision of election law that prohibited handing out things of nominal value (like water) to people waiting in line at election sites.
  15. is it possible it just loaded in funky and self-corrected?
  16. it's chronological, just edit the placeholder thread title
