They just announced an intent to slash half a billion in operating costs. Nuking their archives was the easiest step since it didn't involve canceling current projects or letting go of employees, although both will probably be happening in the coming weeks.

Makes sense if they’re counting anime that was on both Adult Swim and Max because the list of shows on both platforms (rather than one or the other) is very small. And the show, for better or for worse, was a consistent Top 10 presence, only being beaten out by really heavy hitters like John Oliver and Curb Your Enthusiasm’s final season.
