  1. I’m shocked. Shocked I say. Well, no, I’m not. Between this, JoJo and FLCL Alternative to something original, we should be set on the Toonami front for the year.
  2. Since when do people care what One Piece fans think? Their last chance at being relevant in the US is if that live action show gets made, and it won’t succeed without radical alterations that, may I remind you, Oda has refusal rights on. So any attempt to HBO-ize the show will get shot down early.
  3. The cartoon. His absence is why Korra was nowhere near as good.
  4. Ninja Slayer is Aqua Teen if the show never evolved beyond the initial “food monsters” joke.
  5. https://io9.gizmodo.com/the-head-writer-of-avatar-the-last-airbender-is-workin-1827487199 His resume also includes Adult Swim veterans Mission Hill and Futurama.
  6. Well... It’s still better than Voltron.
  7. The gulf over Justice League is insane. Well it’s not like anyone saw it in the theatre.
  8. I was flipping out at the Russia/Croatia game, mostly because I wanted Croatia to win. They sure waited till the last second.
  9. Space Battleship Yamato 2202 7 And 8 Megalo Box 12 And 13.
  10. So the most likely are Megalo Box and Gridman, right? On a similar tone, Netflix picked up the rights to the Ultraman anime (from the guys that made Linebarrels of Iron) as part of their attempt at world conquest.
  11. You know 95% of everything on Franxx was handled by A-1, right, especially after the midway point? It may be how steak is done but it’s it how you write a good show.
  12. I’m willing to bet Gridman gets a slight boost from the “holy shit, Trigger animated Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad” crowd. That said, yeah, Promare looks like straight fire.
  13. Average, disjointed, but still better than Voltron and Zero Two is still great. Expect a sequel film. Also expect Gridman to be better.
  14. No one’s uploaded that first episode yet, but we do have a new preview.
  15. Gridman also has the nostalgia angle working for it.
  16. That was not known until now. Guess it’s Toonami bound.
  17. Hey, remember this little thing? Apparently Trigger is streaming the first episode from their AX panel tonight. And unlike Franxx where 95% of the work was done by A-1, or Reboot in name only, this is a co-production with Tsuburaya Productions, and the head writer has worked on a lot of well regarded entries in the Ultraman series, Ultraman Nexus in particular.
  18. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2018-07-05/sunrise-legendary-announce-live-action-gundam-film/.133849 Which also means we’ve probably seen the end of Pacific Rim.
  19. It’s like I said, people view MHA as NOT!One Punch Man and that is a weakness.
  20. Nah, man. It’s on the new show, which is an unproven commodity. I wonder how many casuals ditch MHA because it isn’t One Punch Man.
  21. It’s weird. This show is near universally considered better than SAO, but almost no one discusses it.
  22. More like going to a sushi place and being told to try the tacos.
