Yeah, and the follow up is kinda realistic about the results (Sakura is completely miserable, Naruto has a son that hates him), but...why would I want to watch a show about that? Hey, remember the characters you all liked? Watch as they become crushed by the responsibilities of daily life, terrible choices, and loveless marriages!
As much as I rag on One Piece and it never ending, it doesn’t mess with those main aspects of the characters. One could argue they’re being dialed up way too high, but it beats the alternative.
