This film might be DeMarco’s last stand. Honestly, I could see him being fired over it as the scapegoat.

DeMarco was completely right that it felt hypocritical for fans of a franchise that does most of its movies by a committee to decry the work of the man who's made cinema like Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Casino, and countless others. But everyone ALSO was right that the guy responsible for bringing us the FLCL sequels and is about to bring us a cash grab Lord of the Rings film isn't the arbiter of good cinema.

The more of this I see the more curious I am about why he didn’t leave the country. He apparently had the means. Was he worried about being picked up at a checkpoint?

I’m at the watering hole to watch the UFC and they went full bore on the Christmas decorations. Wreaths, holly with lights, etc. It warms my heart. I love Christmas decorations. I think I’m just a big softie for Christmas and the holidays in general.
