Judging by the reactions from the pro-Trump crowd, this is entirely about making others suffer. Even if they suffer too, they figure their whole lives are suffering, might as well make others feel miserable.

I still think the only reason he uses tariffs is because he can use them unilaterally. And with Schumer being the whiny bitch he was, we have to wait two years to possibly get the influence to undo them. Interestingly, Canada and Mexico were not tarrifed…yet.

https://variety.com/2025/tv/news/the-simpsons-family-guy-bobs-burgers-american-dad-renewed-four-seasons-1236355159/ Fox isn’t fucking around. They gave American Dad, and all their other animated sitcoms four more seasons. It’s particularly dramatic for The Simpsons which will hit Season 40(!) when this is done.

7 Days in Hell - 9/10. Short movie that is so dense with the laughs it’s amazing.

This despite Elon spending $25 million on it.

Finished Kinnikuman Perfect Origin S2 Kenshin reboot 1. Red Ranger Isekai 9.

The review sounds like the most DeMarco shit ever. Like he was standing over Watanabe the whole time giving notes. The lack of show, don’t tell is particularly worrisome.

You mean people weren't banging down the door for Rob Scheinder's Bluey knockoff? Huh.

It's pretty clear that all these years later, DeMarco still considers Cowboy Bebop the platonic ideal of what an anime should be, which is kind of hilarious when you consider that he has also repeatedly said FLCL was his favorite anime ever. Bebop is everything that DeMarco thinks anime should be, it stars an adult cast, any sort of fanservice is quick and doesn't occupy the screen excessively (and I still think he'd edit out some of the more blatant Faye shots if he could), the action is stylized but still relatively down to earth, having more in common with John Woo than Go Nagai or the duo behind Kinnikuman. But this is probably DeMarco's most blatant attempt so far to try and recapture that Bebop magic. I don't know how well this will do. But I'm not exactly confident.

Here’s the opening. And for bonus points, DeMarco’s name is the first one you see for this Bebop-ass opening. Give Shankar credit, he thinks outside the box.

More Trump tariff-sturbation, this time for imported cars. Prices are expected to go through the roof.

Three fights in this bare knuckle boxing event ended in the first 30 seconds. Which to me says they’re not exactly getting the cream of the crop to reinforce their wrists and punch each other bare knuckle.
