Actually the MHA panel was for the dub premiere.

The panel for it didn’t mention a peep about Toonami (but neither did Bleach’s) which has me thinking the show may be done on Toonami.

Shin Ultraman - 8.5/10 - A really solid film whose main strength and weakness is the feeling that it’s three TV show episodes taped together, which I think is kind of the point. It’s also the second part of Anno’s thematic Shin trilogy, which if Shin Godzilla is about man’s powerlessness before nature, this is about man’s attempt to work through that powerlessness and achieve something greater. Between Shin Godzilla and this, I can’t wait for Shin Kamen Rider (which I presume Crunchyroll will distribute).

Premiere came and went and the crowd seemed to really be into it. The animation is great, but it’s Bleach, so the story will be something you may only have so much tolerance for.

Bleach is debuting today at NYCC. And they are jammed to the rafters in here for the premiere.

I have no patience for acted out roleplaying sessions, AT ALL given how animators like to cram D&D sessions into damn near everything, so this is disappointing.

On a completed unrelated note, Oscar Isaac is attached to a Metal Gear film, but scriptwriters fighting with Kojima means it will come out between never and LOL DeMarco.

Unfortunately as Shenmue has demonstrated, Zaslav's chainsaw takes priority, so yeah, not expecting this one on Toonami...ever.

You’re right, that’s my bad, it’s the premiere, but the sub. I think the dub cast being announced is what confuses me.

Honestly just makes me wish someone did give it a full remake. Which would totally be Netflix because stereotypical anime + giant robots = them slobbering over it.

The dub is going to premiere at an NYCC panel next Saturday. That’s probably where we hear the news.
