    Man, fuck being angry at TV on vacation. Get drunk, enjoy it, and relax. You see the beauty of the world in the tropics and you wonder why you’re angry over petty shit. Then you fly back and you get super mad the Superman show using anime doesn’t have a Maxima that looks like the elf chick from Bastard!! or a villain that looks like Dark Schneider hitting on Lois.

    I have to remind myself I suck at gambling. Thankfully I budgeted amount some cash I expected to lose so it’s not me blowing thousands.

    Four course meal at the Italian restaurant in Aruba before I go home. Ravioli, minestrone soup, steak Gorgonzola, and cheesecake. The good thing is when dealing with the restaurants here is that the portions for each course aren’t insane. So it flows better.

    There was a news story about a flight watching the women’s World Cup and some dude watching LOTR. It reminded me of the winter in New York, where everyone was watching the men’s World Cup during the day. They were watching at bodegas, banks turned their TV’s showing the stock market to the game, bars were packed at noon to watch the rounds, and one deli flat out changed their security TV to watch the Brazil/Croatia game. They were not doing shit for the women, even in the summer.

    We all have a time to go, but hopefully we can leave people with something they’ll remember with joy.

    Coincidentally, it’s right when the Netflix show is certain to come out. I’m sure DeMarco doesn’t care, since he didn’t even dunk on Netflix Bebop (although that may have been Steve Blum, who was defensive of those actors, refusing to go for the kidneys). But it’s a weird coincidence.

    At this point I’m convinced the GOP knows that Trump is the easiest thing for the Democrats to rally around. For all the “orange man bad” jokes the right likes to make, pointing out the guy who says the quiet part loud makes fundraising and rallying way easier. If they can eliminate him and force their constituents to rally behind something less insane on the surface level, they have a much better shot in 2024.

    The one thing that sucks about being in another country? Figuring out which streaming services are working here. I want to watch Twisted Metal but can’t because I’m in Aruba and Peacock doesn’t work here.

    I’m mildly disappointed this casino in an Aruba resort doesn’t have the Persona 5 slot machine…then I remember I prefer roulette anyway. Not video roulette. Fuck that. I want to see a real ball on a real roulette.

    Is this month just going to be full of tragic passings of comedians connected to Adult Swim? This sucks.

    This one is going to be a rough one. Mxy’s new design is considered emblematic of the issues with the design philosophy, and this is his first appearance post Gilbert Gottfried’s passing. Ironically enough, his Bat-counterpart Bat-Mite? Most recently played by the late Paul Reubens.

    Everyone chill out. Do you realize the level of old head we are to still care about this block at this point? We shouldn’t be fighting each other over micromanaged decisions.

    In their defense, when Stein’s Gate first aired, they used the lawyer friendly “IBN” for computers, only for the characters to be featured in actual IBM commercials. This feels like a similar pattern.
