  1. My guess is we’re getting some major course correction.
  2. Netflix Spriggan 2-4.
  3. This is just a place to post stuff. What's wrong with that?
  4. Don’t suppose Crunchyroll can do the same. The Mets would be up for it.
  5. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/sony-crunchyroll-anime-remake-trigun-1235167550/#recipient_hashed=9c7620043769560988486ff2eeeea179ad5bc5ef3d0353e8a3a5fe7427aa9fc1& Ratings The trade papers confirmed Crunchyroll has it, which means Toonami does not.
  6. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2022-06-17/gundam-the-witch-from-mercury-anime-reveals-staff-story-characters-mecha/.186747 More details.
  7. Say hello to Trigun Stampede from Studio Orange. And yes, Crunchyroll already confirmed they would air it.
  8. Tim and Eric are considered “a comedian’s comedian” in much the same way Andy Kaufman was. They’re not trying to tell a drama about a broken marriage and a fucked up conservative town.
  9. It’s being followed by the publisher of Trigun Maximum. Make of that what you will.
  10. Lazzo has gone on record that he disliked heavy serialization because it made it harder to be funny (case in point, his vehement hatred of Metalocalypse) and some of the season 3 episodes barely had five jokes between episodes. It could easily be a case of both, but when Lazzo was in charge, jokes came first, and if you didn’t bring the funny, you were gone.
  11. New trailer telling you to expect tits, metal, and an extremely handsome protagonist.
  12. They really want me to assume a Season 2 is coming. Shenmue was the best of the Crunchyroll originals and it wasn’t even close (owning to how the rest ranged from mediocre to wretched), but the line is done. The legal tangles to get the show proper already sound like a headache.
  13. You know it’s bad when it reminds people of Adult Swim Action.
  14. Apparently when this was first announced the rumor was they wanted Henry Golding to be bald for it. Which hey, Asian lead playing a character called Saitama…
  15. Justin Lin has signed on as a director. You may remember him from running from the set of the latest Fast and Furious movie SCREAMING.
  16. As opposed to Toonami - Netflix’s animation head meanwhile is a weeb, but one of those weebs that thinks the 80s and 90s was the best time for the medium and rolls his eyes at socially conscious fans on Twitter and Tumblr. Why do you think the Western cartoons got eviscerated (“Fuck Wings of Fire, Fuck Bone, and fuck anything where the creator uses hair dye!”) but they keep hiring studios to make more stuff like 80s and 90s OVAs? “Yeah, let’s make a Cyberpunk show and have the chick with three boobs from Total Recall in it!”
  17. Friday is all about video game adaptations. They could still surprise us. Realistically, now that Sega optioned a Yakuza movie, I don’t see an anime being made.
  18. So much for following Uzumaki with…anything.
  19. Time to go back to society.
  20. The second episode is essentially “Endeavor vs Graffiti”. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2022-06-07/crunchyroll-licenses-reveals-anime-expo-premieres-for-my-hero-academia-season-5-ovas-shine-on-/.186428 Both have been licensed by Crunchyroll and will debut at Anime Expo in July.
  21. Gotta find some way to piss off everyone. And now everyone is pissed off. Netflix has made these casting choices symbolic of bad shows. It’s messed up when you get some distance from the property that black actress = unfaithful, crappy show in the minds of so many. If Robin Williams couldn’t make Popeye work, then Godoy doesn’t have a chance to make Luffy work.
