What do you think the show tied up in Japan is?

You leave Suletta alone. She never hurt a soul… -

Well if they sell Gunpla and additional merchandise being Right Stuff or their other stores they get a cut, not to mention any potential performance bonuses for streaming traffic. Then there’s the fact that they do have an exclusivity window in territories CR operates at which point GundamOfficial on YouTube posts the episodes, so I’m going to say…yes. -

Suletta is getting the cheddah. And DeMarco isn’t. -

It’s petered out these past few years, but it looks like it gets one last season. Admittedly before the Coma Years, I predicted the series would end with Archer storming the KGB and having one final battle with Barry, but now I have no clue WHAT it will end with. There was only one way I wanted Archer to die admittedly.

Apple’s streaming service is a loss leader for their tech products. You literally get 3-6 months of Apple TV as a bonus with whatever you buy (laptops, TV boxes, tablets, phones, earbuds, etc), and the subscriptions stack, meaning you could get two years of Apple TV if you buy certain things. They probably see this as a way to advertise their products. I don’t see Apple selling their stuff to other streamers, since they’re willing to give away the subscriptions to anyone who buys their products.

More stalling, but maybe Dr Stone S3?

DeMarco has been doing this for decades, and while "DeMarco's shit taste" is a meme around these parts, the fact is, if you've done a certain thing for decades and then the system you relied on got completely upended only a few years back, you'd have difficulty adjusting too. (Keep in mind DeMarco is shorthand for the people at Toonami, DeMarco himself is probably busy with his animated ashcan LOTR film). He doesn't trust the older material or the current material Sentai has for whatever reason, presumably because it hasn't broken into the cultural zeitgeist on Twitter like so many of the Crunchyroll shows that would be guaranteed Toonami airings but now he has missed out on. DeMarco has made one thing very clear these past few months. He is thinking quality over quantity. Not counting shows that he probably was forced to air (I don't think he would have aired a kids show like Unicorn if he had a choice since he's gone on record about being forced to air the 2002 He-Man), DeMarco would rather wait months for the right show than take a chance on Sentai. -

Yeah, but what changed was that Witch from Mercury powered the Gundam franchise to record profits and the show has become very popular on Crunchyroll. They're not sharing. -
Bit too low hanging.

It’s admittedly a sign of the times that when Toonami can’t get a Gundam series, it ends up being crazy popular. Reminds me of 2008 when Adult Swim Action was airing Kekkaishi and SyFy was airing Gundam 00. SyFy won. -
The website What’s on Netflix posted the rumored date. https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/news/live-action-one-piece-series-everything-we-know-02-2023/

Yes, I meant this arc.

So accounting for a few marathons, the show will end right around the end of August, when One Piece Live Action is rumored to debut. That puts the show in quite a unique position.

Unicorn Warriors Eternal to get marathon on ACME Night May 28th

They are pushing the hell out of this. Next we’re gonna see ads calling this “Your New Favorite Show” and ads with the characters extolling their virtues over the competition. (Weasel was played by Michael Dorn, aka Worf. No wonder he sounded so awesome). -

If Uzumaki gets delayed again, I will be shocked if Zaslav doesn’t take it out to the house Goodfellas style. -
It’s rumored once this arc is over we’ll find out what their next course of action is for the show. Anyone have a set date for that?

What cartoon are you watching on cable, Netflix, Hulu, etc
Jman replied to blueraven1999's topic in Movies & Television
It was alright. It clearly knows it wants to be one of those “over the top celebrity cartoons” with more violence. Think Mike Tyson Mysteries if the influence was spy fiction and not Scooby Doo. But I didn’t hate it at all, and it is kind of funny Elvis’s main female handler doesn’t like his music. -

Those OVA's are traditionally the biggest pains in the ass to license for whatever reason. -

https://deadline.com/2023/05/elon-musk-steps-down-twitter-ceo-1235363917/ Elon finally found someone to foist the day to day operations on. Now he can go back to doing what he does best on Twitter, asking for stuff without knowing how it’s done and posting weird tweets. -
