Out of the two Gundam's I've seen, they're billed as Mecha vs Mecha fighting anime, but they end up being oddly talky and slow paced. And have odd convoluted plots. None of the characters I've seen have been particularly great either.

I've only seen IBO and Unicorn to be honest.

How is it slow paced? He went from having no powers, to having powers, then a 9 month time skip and joining the hero academy in 4 episodes. And trust me you're gonna want to see episode 12. At this point I've dropped Jojo. I just gradually lost interest during this arc. Haven't seen the last 5 or 6 episodes.

Lol ANN gives everything a B no matter how awful it is. After seeing this episode my opinion is unchanged. Super sucks ass at this point. This arc has been a massive waste of time. I know, why don't we have Goku and Vegeta go back in time and train 30 more times, that might spice it up! Or maybe Zamasu can give more speeches about how mortals are inferior to gods like him? That could be a change of pace. I'm not sure how he really feels at this point. I really need to hear him say it at least 10 more times before I can be sure. Has enough time been wasted on the survivors running around? Why do we keep going back to them? This entire arc has just been an exercise in stalling to fill episodes. 45 episodes left until this show gets good. That's depressing.

They also had individual theme songs for every main character... even the tank. How many 80's cartoons did that? Not only that, they were amazing.

I watched a few episodes of Black Dynamite and didn't think it worked it all, none of the jokes landed for me. Except maybe the Michael Jackson "Jamon" thing.

Eh I totally disagree, demand was next to nothing for this. I don't think anyone even thought about it until they floated that they were doing a sequel. Even on FLCL clips I never saw people clamoring for more episodes. People would rather more DBZ or Inuyasha to be honest.

So they will actually advertise when it's a show they had a hand in making. FLCL doing the worst was pretty much a given. So that makes last Saturday Toonami's worst ratings of all time then?

You have to have something to replace it or advertisers are just buying time blindly. It's still the best measuring stick they have.

I don't like Evangelion. Nice fights and all, but I don't really have much respect for a show that just throws a bunch of nonsense at the wall and hopes something sticks. I appreciate weird stories but you can't be that weird and convoluted.

Etotama looks good, I'd say about 90 percent there on that one.

Like I said before... Kai marathons did better on holidays than Toonami's regular schedule on non holidays. There's no reason to pretend like any holiday except Xmas is worth sidelining your shows for.

God damn....new ep came out and not one comment. Welp... it was FINALLY the badly needed world building episode that explained what the fuck was up with the world. Good, but way too late. This anime was very poorly thought out.

It's worth the risk. If a show they make gets super popular that's big bucks. The ratings have bottomed out for the block so pretty much any show airing in the 3rd or 4th slot gets the same ratings.

Lustrous... I'm gonna say.... they're 70 percent of the way there. Still needs a lot of work before I'd have even a slight bit of trouble telling that it was CGI.
