A lot of Japanese males seem to have an odd relationship with women. No wonder their birthrate is so low. I wonder if some of these guys are closet homosexuals since they write about guys that seem to somehow end up married to women without having any interest in actually having sex with a woman. Or really any interest in having anything to do with a woman at all.

Nothing is going to click after Super anymore, that's the drawback to making an hour of Dragonball your main attraction for so long. If Kai could only hold 80 percent of Super during the Goku vs Kid Buu final fight then we're just going to have to accept that this is probably the best a non dub premiere is ever going to do. Especially considering MHA is at the peak of its popularity right now with the recent events in S3. Toonami's main problem as always is even when they get the hottest shows... we've all seen it years ago. Because they're late. I've seen this subbed and dubbed, this is my 3rd watch. Still better than everything else on Toonami but not everyone is going to be up for watching the same anime they've already seen.

It's kind of a moot point since there's nothing they have that would do better than MHA anyway. They can air AOT S3 when they get it but even as a dub premiere it will probably lose 20 percent of Super's audience. Even Kai was losing 20 percent towards the end.

In episode 1 there's a guy with what looks like shuriken growing out of his head. Now that's a shitty power. Some people end up as cat/dog/bird people permanently as well. It's later stated that even if Eraserhead uses his quirk on them it won't cause them to revert to human form.

Yo dawg, I heard you like giant robots and Zero Two, so I put some Zero Two on your giant robot. Yeah Hachi acting like he's finished from a minor injury... I found that funny. "I'm finished save yourself! Never mind it's not that bad." Uhhhh two good characters? I still declare Zero Two as the only good character and the only thing anyone will remember about this show after its done. And she still never showed the slightest bit of remorse for all the partners she killed so she's kind of a shitty person but the show glosses over that. Does anyone else find it stupid that they just happened to have a huge space fleet lying around capable of fighting on even terms with Virm? This is why you shouldn't try writing a show by committee. That may work for sitcoms but not so much for a 24 episode anime.

Chrono Trigger was also made by Square just like FF, so a lot of the mechanics and concepts are the same. Robot Chicken is actually funny though. It has jokes with punchlines. Punchlines are the funny part of the joke. PTE is a bunch of jokes without punchlines. That's apparently why it's supposed to be funny in some sort of avant garde way but I don't see how anyone gets anything more than mild amusement out of any of this. I believe the endless 8 arc of Haruhi aired in Japan as well.. 8 episodes of the exact same episode back to back. The Japanese do indeed have insane tolerance for weird stuff.

That was one of the things that made me instantly hate this show. The fact that they did a Chrono trigger parody and then did NOTHING funny with it.

No but I mean, Goku's base form got a huge boost from SSG. So if that final Kai episode actually took place AFTER Super then an untrained Uub would have been holding his own against a base form Goku that was way stronger than Kid Buu. That's one of the many reasons why it wouldn't make any sense for that final Kai episode to be considered Canon anymore.

It's not like Dragonball is much more than an excuse to have two people fight. That's all we really want from DB. Plus fans have always wanted to know if SS4 or SSG was stronger.

Millions of people use it. The top 8 anime have rankings from over a million people.... it's not some small ball site. It's enough to get a general idea if a show is popular or not.

I haven't seen anyone mention anything about the show except on youtube clips that are from the show. And this site of course. This is where MAL is pretty good at determining how many people have actually seen a show, their "most popular" list has all the stuff you'd expect to be popular, AOT, Angel beats, Death Note, Naruto, One Punch Man. Stein's Gate, all in the top 10 where you'd expect them to be. Newer stuff like MHA and Re Zero are in the top 50. Pop team epic is.... 866. It's up there with Casshern sins at 870. Even Stuff like Blood C and Dimension W are in the 400's and those are pretty much anime that only people who are really into anime are going to be aware of. Stuff that I guarantee almost no one here has seen like Worldend is 525. So unless there's some hidden community of people that love PTE and just don't go on MAL I'm going to have to go with saying that it's not actually popular. They did a great job advertising it though, they got me to check out an episode.
