    There was a Calvin and Hobbes fan comic similar to this. I think in this case, it would've been better if Garfield turned into a realistic looking real cat. So the implication is that Garfield is a real cat, but he doesn't talk or think like a human.

    Just learned today that Mike Matheny is no longer the manager of the St. Louis Cardinals. That's too bad. He spent the last two years of his playing career as a Giant, and he was awesome defensively, and by far the best defensive catcher the Giants had in my recent memory at least until Buster Posey. For that reason I liked to root for the Cardinals in the post season (except when they played the Giants). Now I have no reason to root for the Cardinals anymore.
