Well I don't need to see much.... As long as I can tell where the other people in the pool and the walls are, that's all I need to be able to see.... I don't wear my glasses while swimming, so my head under or above water, I can't see much anyway. Once I and my sister-in-law were in the pool at our house and she asked what time it was. I said there's a clock over there, and pointed to the wall. She didn't see it and asked me to just tell her what time it was, and I was like, I'd have to get out of the pool to get my glasses and I'd be cold.... Look, over there... that big orange and black thing. She didn't want to make me get out of the pool so she waited for my brother to come back out so she could know what time it is.

Do you swim underwater with your eyes open without goggles? I grew up (almost) all my life with a swimming pool in my backyard, and swimming like that became a habit for me. One time my friend had a pool party at a public pool. I didn't know any better and spent the whole time swimming underwater with my eyes open without goggles. It wasn't until after I think I was already done swimming for the day (but still at the party) my eyes felt like they were on fire. I was bawling my eyes out (I was a little kid). HEY that thread awhile ago about the most pain you've ever been in.... that's probably mine. I totally forgot about that until seeing this post.

Apparently my style of facial hair is called a Balbo, and apparently the CDC thinks it's a grey area if I can effectively wear the mask or not.... I just got to be careful my chin hair doesn't cross the seal. Actually what I've got is like the mustache of the Balbo, but my goatee is closer to what's depicted in the Van Dyke. So I guess that means the mask is a no-go for me.

I admire the fuck outta you for doing the kind of job you want to do, which I assume despite everyone around you told you is a ridiculous pipe dream. My dad squashed my dreams of being a professional musician long ago, I enjoy watching people I like not letting that happen to them.

The only Saturday morning cartoon I cared about was Garfield and Friends. Other than that, I vastly preferred after school cartoons.
