dragon ball super Dragon Ball Super Episode 91 Discussion
rpgamer replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
I wonder what the rest of the 7th universe would think of being represented entirely by beings living on earth. Like, shit, didn't even try looking in the rest of the universe for anyone worth picking. -
Does it smell like John cena in here ? It should.Because

It's weird that any of you make any sort of deal over this. These boards are dead enough you could probably take your time and still manage to post in every folder there is without anyone throwing in a combo breaker. -

I saw tara signed up and almost got a little excited to see one of the old old crew around. Shame she doesn't seem to have stuck with it.

I remember a long while back hearing a story about someone that had won a new Toyota, and when they showed up to claim their prize, sitting on the table was their new toy Yoda. -
Because some genius hasn't told them to just add a little cocoa powder into the dough.

Good intentions don't absolve one of consequences.

Maybe folks could come up with some new songs, instead of just reusing it remaking the same stuff for a century.

They're really upping their war on the climate. Nobody tell Nabs.

boruto Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 8 Discussion
rpgamer replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Damn, this episode wasted a shitload of time just to get around to a "show me what you got." Like, seriously, why's it taking so long for someone to just say, "Ok, let's see what you can do." Seems like it'd be a pretty fast way to confirm. -

Boruto talking to himself reminds me of the Tachikomas debating and philosophizing in GitS. -

Have I missed something? I don't remember Naruto figuring out how to use the shuriken without fucking himself up. -
Just take the best of both worlds and go spear fishing. You get to hunt down your prey and shoot it, but it's still fish. Didn't quite kill it with the first spearing? It's still caught, just stab it again. Plus you're on a time limit with how much air you've got in the tank, so, bonus challenge. With the added risk of having to actually defend your prize, should something bigger and scarier come sniffing around.

That's the beauty of it. You don't have to. All you have to do is qualify for all the loans and grants (but mostly the loans) so they still get their money, while the loan providers get to make even more money off of you with all the interest. Welcome to crippling student debt. Oh, oh, and don't forget the cherry on top. After you've graduated, the school will continue to hit you up for money, expecting all of their alumni are rolling in it and ready to kick some back to the institute that helped get them where they are.
-
They're all basically for profit anyway; you'd think as long as you can pay, they'd let you in.

Lol, nah. Those can all be vaguely related, to some approximate degree. But for the level of precision some of the latest science expects, you need some proper constants. Used to be a collection of objects, all kept in France, that defined various units, with some sister prototypes scattered around the world, which would all have to be checked and rechecked periodically to see if they're changing at all (they did), and recalibrate things based on that. It was a simpler time.
-
I very vaguely remember that..

That's basically sleeping.

Geez. I have to shave daily or the neck stubble starts getting really irritating on the second day, and I'm sure if I went any longer than that, I'd need to start using a trimmer or something bigger than a razor.

I can't read Japanese, but those numbers sure look like they're suggesting a 3 kilometer structure. Japan, you crazy.

I've always been pretty tough to sucker into promotions like that. Like, "Buy 3 for this price point!" But, I don't need 3 of those, and if I just buy the 1 or 2 I need, I'm saving more money (in the short term, I guess). I recognize a lot of it is also designed just to move more product, keep inventory flowing. Marketing is one hell of an industry.

That's kinda sad. I probably have more stubble if I go 2 days without shaving. Tbh, tho, kinda wish it didn't grow in quite so well. You probably save a lot more time/money on shaving.

Article Linkage From what I've read, it sounds like they've had to round off or fudge a couple other numbers to do so. (the Planck constant, elementary charge, Boltzmann constant, and the Avogadro constant). Which, while those were all known to a pretty high decimal count, hadn't previously been strictly defined as constant. And, it hurts my soul a little that they've had to settle on redefining them for the sake of nailing down the kilogram. Seems kinda like scientists just got fed up with the whole problem and said fuck it, we'll settle. Not that I could really blame them, I suppose. I'm sure there aren't many here that will find this very fascinating. The only real reason it piqued my interest was that I had peeked in on the kilogram conundrum once or twice in the past. Congrats, Science, for finally figuring out how much a kilogram is.

They'll probably keep putting into like newspapers and background television shots, I'll wager.
