Remember when we were told they would be archiving everything before switching over to that final version?

Y'know, the whole "real feel" thing sounds pretty dumb at this point. Ain't nobody out there that can tell the difference between -5 and -50. At a certain point, it all just feels like "fucking cold."

I would guess private schools are playing by different rules? Do they still get all the same government aid and bonuses and whatnot? Plus they've probably usually got their own internal criteria for who they want representing them (although "potentially successful white dudes" is probably on everybody's list).

I haven't played much of this yet, but I'm getting the impression that a lot of the game has been... idk, dumbed down or something for Ultimate. No more special unlock requirements for characters. No unlockable stages at all. Fighting feels... softer? Maybe not that exactly. But I know it left a bad taste the first time I just insta-died at high damage (I think that's what happened. may have been a stage hazard involved). I guess it's not all strictly a bad thing. I can see where a lot of design choices were made to make it an easy to access party game. Maybe what I'm feeling is just the realization that they've pared out a lot of the solo aspects of the game. Can't really blame them for shifting focus. Just not quite the experience I was looking forward to. Hopefully maybe a little more time exploring more of the game could change my tune.

The most ironic part of this argument is that anyone of passing intellect knows colleges just don't give a shit. All they care about is whether or not you'll flunk classes and ruin their accreditation or whatever. They just want your money. Don't have money? It only takes a couple of brain cells to apply for financial aid. They don't fucking care if it's your money or not, they're getting paid either way. So, yeah. College recruitment letters amount to little more than "Hey, we want all of the cash you have or qualify for." And anyone that's been to college can confirm that any idiot can qualify for enough to coast for a couple years. Military recruitment gives off the same vibes, but since I didn't go that route, I couldn't say what they're getting out of the deal.

This was definitely good for a laugh.

Aha. I guess you just herb 'em up more than I've considered doing. I'm a simple man. Add some onions to the saute and gimme some sour cream and I call that a meal.

Tbh tho, I was a bit surprised to see that Yupi didn't go big explosion in that moment. Just goes to show he really does have more control of himself. -

I'm seeing this going in the exact opposite direction. Their entire motivation up to this point has been survival, to continue to protect and serve the king. Their lives no longer have any purpose, and they know exactly where to direct their rage. They no longer need to concern themselves with staying alive, or prioritizing the king over finishing off the pests. They've just been given free rein to go on a killing spree, and nobody else has proven capable of stopping them. -

The king is dead. The pet serves no purpose anymore. She's ant fodder. -
hunterxhunter Hunter × Hunter Episode #127 Discussion!!

Bringing back what I thought up in the last thread, I've just about convinced myself that this entire extermination mission was a suicide run for everyone involved. Netero has proven to be the only one actually able to handle himself against any of these higher ranks. Win or lose, nobody else was going to be able to hold up against the guards, they were just buying time for the sole purpose of mission success, hoping that if the king is dead, one way or another, the infestation will die out (or if the king didn't die, humanity was doomed anyway). The more I think about it, the more I'm not entirely sure what this mission was meant to accomplish. For fucks sake, if they were just going to blow up the king, why wouldn't they want to get the guards at the same time? -

Space ninjas. Great. -
Sauteing pirogis in bacon fat was one of the best culinary decisions I've ever made. Those look better than the usual ones I always manage to find, tho.

hunterxhunter Hunter × Hunter Episode #126 Discussion!!
rpgamer replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
I mean, Netero is dead any way you slice it. But, for this particular operation, it never really seemed like he was the one leading the charge anyway. Seemed more like everyone else's plans were worked out independent of his. Sure, they were all still counting on him to take the king, I suppose. Y'know, I guess really the question becomes what/if anyone planned for what happens at the end of the big fight? Either the old man wins and the king is dead, leaving everyone else handling the guards going off. Or he fails and the king survives, leaving everyone else fighting guards they still couldn't beat, and also the king returning to clean house. This may have been a suicide mission for everyone from the start. Cuz I'm having a real hard time believing in any scenario where anyone comes out of this saying "We did it, the ants are dead" without heavy casualties. It's been pretty well established that the royal guards are still more than anyone can handle. Even if Netero somehow killed the king and survived, he never would've had enough left in him to put down the guards as well, he was basically doomed no matter what. -

Oh shit: A Thought. If that blast actually managed to kill the king, surely the guards will sense/know it quickly enough. No longer having a purpose (and in fact, having failed their mission), they may no longer care about their own self preservation (don't need to stay alive to protect the king if there's no king). And, for that matter, even less reason to get the kid all healed up, since they never really liked her anyway. Gon may be in some deep shit. -
After 19 episodes, I'd really like to have a clearer grasp of the goal of this season. Part 3 might've dragged its ass halfway around the world, but at least it was all meant to be building up to Dio.

Anyone that's familiar with the sub able to say if this show has been having bits edited out? I noticed something I think last episode, but it maybe coulda been a future ep for all I know/remember. I've caught some of this on pluto.tv, and I was pretty sure the scene where the big boss bought the trainer a beer ended with the threat of forcing him to gouge out his other eye. Made me wonder if there's been anything else that's been getting removed for time/content. -
Personally, I still don't even accept Broly as canon.

dragon ball super Dragon Ball Super Episode 92 Discussion

So what's Azula doing in this show now? As long as we never have to hear about the tingly feeling again, I'll choose to dismiss this whole super saiyan training thing. I can admit that bringing Frieza back vs Frost sounds like an actual thought out choice by the writers. I can see Frieza being insulted by Frost's underhanded evil. He'll die a coward's death. -
Libraries can still be cliqueush enough to expect some library science schooling for probably any position.
