There have been episodes where he's been stupid but full-blown 'tard. They could go with a script like that and since the whole thing would be animated Dolly as an obvious stand-in, it wouldn't matter if the lines weren't full-blown Early lines 100% of the show. The whole thing is basically a way to face the issue head on and then go on. So, your addition would definitely help them sew up the trouble with a new VA if they have a new VA. But only if they are willing to break the 4th wall to do so. So far, they've been purely animated and confined to their animated world.

Early is on the screen about do his opening lines but super obviously impaired beyond any doubt, Granny interrupts before he can start and tells him he's cut for the night and his understudy is doing his damn lines until he can get his head out of his ass long enough to not sound like a braying jackass. He gets pulled off screen doing a stock tirade ramble that could be pieced and pulled from other rants [ since it doesn't have to make sense other than he's completely plotz'd ] and Dolly Parton comes on holding a script. The rest of the episode would be as scripted / storyboarded originally except all parts would be done by Dolly Parton reading the parts and her animated self obviously in place of Early with exception to any stunt work type actions.

I look forward to this. I've been interested in the manga for a bit but have put it off in the hopes it'll be re-released in omnibus forms [ my poor shelves ] . So I've only seen bits and pieces of the anime via AMVs and gifs with sound. This way I'll get to sit back and watch it while waiting to see if omnibus happens.

Ga Ga Pee Pap did die and is currently in hell with Red Jesus. I suppose he could 'replace' Early through possession and continue things that way [ just slightly change Early's looks to denote he isn't himself ] but considering how churchy the squids are and Granny's ability to toss demons and talk to Jesus directly, I'm not sure if it would work longer than a couple of episodes.

They could have episodes focusing on Rusty or Lil or Granny - think of all the filler arcs done in anime looking back into a character's past. Granny telling biblical bedtime stories in her own horrible way could easily be a couple of different episodes. Early could be in some sort of non-verbal situation for some episodes - it wouldn't be the first time he's been wedged into a cast where all he can do is mumble after all. He could just outright be recast if there's someone who sounds close enough to be moved into the role - think of Meg from Family Guy as an example where Meg was recast and now people have to look up the info to remember who the first VA was [ Lacey Chabert] . Since I'm guessing that [ as ] / WS owns all the rights to Squidbillies including master tracks, someone could even potentially create dialog from pre-recorded dialog to finish off whatever they already had scripted just to clear the planned season.

I am not surprised in the least that Dolly Parton would be for BLM and say so. She grew up dirt poor and has never shied away from that. Her 'people' aren't just the so-called redneck hillbillies, they are everyone who has ever been frickin' poor. She has always been for helping anyone who needs help. If any of those redneck hillbillies have a problem with that, hard cheese. She'd help you since she's in a position to do so regardless of skin tone and she'd expect that you would do the same for your neighbor if they needed help and you were in a position to do so. It's very disheartening that there is apparently no break between Stuart Baker and his persona Unknown Hinson.
