Strangers in her territory must die. She continued that flailing under the regular door towards any and all shadows passing by which was pretty funny unless she managed to snag you. So maintenance installed heavy duty rubber flaps on my door on the inside so she couldn't bend or rip through them to continue her defense of the door mat. She's attacked two fire marshals doing the yearly inspections because they entered when I wasn't around and tried to kill some vet techs during a bladder infection episode. And yet, she can be such a cuddler when she wants to. The last thing those fire marshals saw before fleeing my apartment and leaving a shoe in the middle of the hallway -

Without a doubt, the reset was going to happen. The device wouldn't have survived the crash if there wasn't going to be that moment where it gets hit again. Also worth noting is that Rick is absent for virtually all of it. Technically he could have found Morty at any time. He could have also taken the device after the rescue and disarmed it or even confiscated it prior to the flight. But he's not even at the hospital or the welcome back party. He's sitting in the garage waiting it out. Morty was always going to end up in the vat.

I think it was the nonverbal sequence that bought the gold for the episode.

Story Train was good, a much better and more cohesive version of either interdimensional cable or mind blowers. I actually found the slut dragon episode [ cringy at times but ] entertaining. A dragon's hoard being comprised of a lot of 'crap' because humans treasure it is strangely relatable. Plus, what the hell did that cat do that even Rick got sick and suicidal? Most of the episodes had something to note at least. If I had to pick a 'favorite' it would probably be the finale just because I keep going back to it mentally. But I can see the why behind both of those episodes getting noticed. Both of them may have their full share of silly crap but they also illustrate slightly serious and actual issues. Rick turns himself into a pickle purely to avoid family therapy time. Dr. Wong's statement on his avoidance when he finally does show up and speak frankly about his feelings on it all summarized it bluntly but without seeming to lecture the audience. It was a strangely serious turn on an episode with a sentient pickle which in turn led to the eventual personal more open communication between Rick and Beth. The Vat of Acid is all about consequences. Morty calls Rick out on his weirdly elaborate vat trick and demands his idea of a reset device finally be considered. He chooses to go out and have his fun rather than getting any further instructions from Rick about the hows of it all. I actually felt that the entire non-verbal montage from the point where he meets a real girlfriend until Jerry hits the reset button and Morty loses that entire life was very well boarded and was likely the deciding factor for this episode being picked for consideration. Morty thinks he's learned the 'lesson' that Rick meant to teach him by just giving in to his whim only to find out that he's been a selfish monster the entire time, killing hypothetical Mortys with every push of the button which he would have known had he taken the time to just think about it and ask Rick before running off. Rick's original vat of acid would have kept him from having to kill those gangsters, everyone would have gone on their merry ways, and things would have remained neutral. Rick isn't normally opposed to killing but he tends to have a reason for it when it comes to individuals and those gangsters obviously weren't worth it and / or are connected somewhere to something Rick needs in the future. But Morty's impatience and inability to think about why Rick would bother with such a passive ruse ruined it. Hence in the end, Morty has to embrace the vat of acid he dissed in the beginning since it's elaborate yet simple design allows for only one person to pay a price - the guy jumping in. Actions have consequences.

I'm surprised that no one dragged this in here but 'Rick and Morty' have received a second Emmy. Mark Hamill and Patrick Stewart are having a poke at the whole 'Star Wars vs Star Trek' nerd war that gets so much attention by having it out over...delivery food. Neither would have agreed to do this if they didn't have a sense of humor over it all. The whole fandom fighting can get rather tiresome for the people in the actual franchises. Plus, I'd rather see a fight between the 501 and the Fluttering Hordes. A battle between an army that can't hit the broad side of a barn if they were standing next to it vs an army of dudes dressed as butterflies that have nothing to lose + one slightly damaged baby blue Stanza.

Said manager should just take a full-time vacation and save everyone the problem of shuffling schedule to deal with lazy. I hate missing a package delivery that I didn't even know was coming because the FedEx dude keeps going to the back door instead of the front one. You know, the one with the big sign announcing there's an office there, it's open, come on in. I don't know what I'm supposedly getting but I do know it's a game of frickin' tag for the next week.

It's currently meant to be a one-time thing because this year has been a shitshow in more ways than one and getting people out to vote is one way to hopefully start turning that around. It also ties in with recent messages regarding BLM, racism and not being bullying dicks in general that have run on Toonami. Personally, I think they should have scheduled it for the hour before Toonami and leave the rest of the schedule alone because if you haven't seen whatever episodes of 'Family Guy' are airing at that time, you've been living with the Amish for the past x years. But I'm guessing they need to milk that show as much as they can before they lose it.

I never can. O.O My anxiety dreams aren't lack of pants / late to a test crap. Nope. It's needing to use a bathroom but every bathroom has stalls with really low walls or no doors and always full of people. Leave one bathroom, find another bathroom, same thing. Stinky kitty. Petting is not advised. I grew up surrounded by feral kitties. I was the one that would tame them.

Well...there was the black and white kitty on the farm when I was really really little that I was told that it was a good thing I didn't give it a cuddle. In my defense, I didn't cuddle that kitty because it was stinky but I almost petted it because it walked right up to me and then out through the pasture.

First reaction I think I've only seen two 'pure' black kitties with no shadow-stripes or brown sun-patches at all in my life to date. But they still required all the cuddling.
