Used my friends air compressor to clean my comp out
PhilosipherStoned replied to Age of S'jet's topic in Free-For-All
What size air compressor is safe for a tower pc? I havent used many, but I want an air compressor to blow out my pc because air duster is too expensive, and freezes up way too fast to be practical. -
Sorry I couldn't stop myself on that one.

fixed.

No I've never built a fucking filing cabinet smoker.. I meant a filing cabinet. I can't really say I've ever had the need for a filing cabinet grill. I have used a flamethrower to smoke a turkey in a few secs before though -

I think I've built one before, but I don't really want to build my own.. Is there another way. -
Yes.. I believe so... That's all a school bus driver needs is class b I think. But the test is broken down in portions or something.. There's a general knowlege practice test I was given that has over 200 questions... Most if not all of them are common sense though more or less. The actual tests arent that lengthy, but you know.. the practice tests are meant to cover the variations of questions I'll be asked on the real test.

It's not like this shit is a calculus exam I know.. but I was planning on going to the local DPS to knock out these tests for the company I'm supposed to work for, and I'm not sure I'm ready to pass all of them at least.. Especially since theres one that deals specifically with air brakes. I might have to wait on that one. Also I could have spent more time studying today, but I had family things, and military recruiters distracting me. I'm almost positive I can pass the first 2 without more study anyway. I'm a bit nervous because different trucks and vehicles have so many different lighting requirements based on their size and purpose etc.. and the practice test questions have a few tricks up their sleeve.

So I might join the national guard.

The thing is.. With me already training to be a bus driver.. I can free up my weekend almost though I have to call the company, and do a bit more digging I'm not 100% sure, but when I get MOS qualified as an 88M according to my info I already have all the certs to drive a bus outside of the military.. So the tests I've been cramming for I probably wouldn't even have to take... Plus 20K up front. which is not an incentive bonus I can really shake a stick at. -

The reason I bumped this thread is because I don't want to make a lot of job related threads or spam too much, but I've been more than inundated with possibilities atm.. I havent even seen the full list of opportunities with the guard yet, but 0_0 I think 88M is my best option.. EXCEPT with signing any military contract.. I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up deployed with this unit driving HETS (Heavy Equipment Transport...Whatever the S is I forgot). as a UAV operater one of the people I worked with was deployed as a fueler.. and I've heard some stories. I bet that's an amazing feeling.. Driving a massive ass truck tractor/trailer combo with a bunch of tanks on it (I say that because it's also a massive target) So many feels right now. -
I mean that sounds fun, and all but it..honestly leaves me with a lot of questions. I can't really say my shooting record is superb anyway unfortunately. At first glance looking at 11B sniper as a job option just kind of makes me laugh. Also just so you know I'm not sure I have the balls for any 11B position.. I'd love to have the skills, but I'm really not trying to be a bullet sponge. I mean.. no disrespect by that at all either. I mean the opposite.

So there's like three MOSs or jobs I'm looking at.. 25U -radio/IT signal support..(basically the IT guys of the army)- This is the most relevant to my actual career interests, but it's pretty popular and there's only one position to fill so no sign on bonus. 68W- combat medic..which is pretty much self explanitory. I'm not sure how this position would work in the guard and how the MOSQ training would be..I've heard stories from some medics that they had to operate on live goats and other animals in AIT. but there's a 20k bonus.. and I'm already pretty medically inclined. I've thought about training for positions like EMT/firefighter etc in the past but I've never actually felt compelled to I guess.. 88M- Truck driver.. I know on the active side the AIT (advanced individual training) probably requires you to drive every wheeled vehicle in the arsenal, but for the guard it's a shorter course.. and I've already been studying for a bus driver position for my outside job.. This to has a 20K sign on bonus. It's pretty hard to pass up a freakin' 20K sign uo bonus especially when the MOS is relevant to my outside job, but my gut tells me to go with 25U.. To be honest I'm probably not going to like being a bus driver, and I'd probably hate being a semi truck driver even worse. I just want the commercial drivers license for other jobs that don't require so much extensive travel, but still require a commercial drivers license.
